Meh. He wouldn't have won it anyway. I just wanted to see him compete there. He says he's finally healthy and wants three more fights this year. The UFC offered him Cain in six months. Dream 10 is next month. I highly doubt the UFC would have given him a spot on UFC 100 or 101. So why not leave...

I have to hand it to the reporter for trying to stay professional afterward because that "woman" sure wasn't professional.

Cro Cop would have been nice for the HW division so people could see that the HW division isn't actually nobodies. I agree there aren't any number 1 or 2 guys in the world right now fighting in the UFC HW division but beating Cro Cop would have been a legit way to start it.

They are not top HW's and haven't beaten anyone of note and have both lost to the top UFC HW prospects after they beat Cro Cop in the UFC.

Now keep in mind, this is the same Cro Cop who just won the PRIDE OWGP by beating Ikuhisa Minowa (TKO) Hidehiko Yoshida (TKO) Wanderlei Silva (KO) and Josh Barnett (Submission - Strikes). And he's 32 yrs. old at this point. So Cro Cop comes into the UFC and murders Eddie Sanchez (TKO).
No one is saying he's too old.
No one is saying he's washed up and past his prime.
No one is saying he should retire.
People are proclaiming Cro Cop the next UFC HW Champion.
Cro Cop fights Gonzaga and gets KTFO.
Cro Cop fights Cheick Kongo and gets manhandled for a 3 round Unanimous Decision Loss.
Cro Cop leaves the UFC.
Now all of a sudden..
Cro Cop is too old.
Cro Cop is washed up and past his prime.
Cro Cop should retire.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has his first UFC fight. Now keep in mind, this is the same Big Nog who just beat Josh Barnett (Unanimous Decision) in a rematch which he lost by Split Decision. And he's 31 yrs. old at this point. So Big Nog comes into the UFC and beats Heath Herring (for the third time).
No one is saying he's too old.
No one is saying he's washed up and past his prime.
No one is saying he should retire.
People are proclaiming Big Nog the next UFC HW Champion.
Big Nog fights Tim Sylvia for the Interim UFC HW Belt.. and he wins by Submission (Guillotine Choke).
