He is going up..he'll be fighting on July 19th as a light heavyweight vs James Irvin. Ultimately he wants both titles and he recognizes there aren't alot of challenges for him in the middleweight div., no one in that div. is even close to him, talent wise.

Yea, haven't seen a UFC PPV in about 4 months, so I guess I am out of the loop. It still surprises me that he's doing it. I hope he puts on a little bit of weight, or is he goign to do both? Give up the Middle and go for Light Hwy? Or do both?

i dont think it will b that hard for silva cause he walks around above 205lbs so naturally it wont b difficult for him to make weight. IMO he doesnt have the power to walk through the light heavyweight div but he could still beat anyone on any given day but the top fighters could beat him just as well.


i just discovered we had a UFC thread on here , so im a little late commenting on the recent fights. i have to say rampage is by far my fav fighter. i didnt c the fight but from what i hear from other ppl, forrest didnt beat rampage enough to get the decision in the circumstance, but at the same time rampage should have never left it in the judges hands, every good fighter knows that. he just got a bad break but im confident he can get back to title contention. i think once silva beats irvin, it will b silva vs. rampage for number 1 contender after liddell beats evans (evans is a good damn fighter though so i will cheer for him) liddell vs griffin and it doesnt matter who wins that cause after rampage beats silva, he will regain his title.

yea, if he walks around looking the way he does at 205, that's just WOW, he'll get steamrolled. The lightheavyweight guys look like they will be able to snap him like a toothpick. BUT, he is the spider, so it should be interesting

I guess everyone now knows the Rampage weakness, Leg Kicks, thats basically all Forrest did throughout the fight, he took out Rampage's plant foot and it was over!!

actually thats not all he did thru the fight. That was his problem. He didnt follow thru after he hurt Rampage's leg badly. The leg kicks were few and far after the second round. Big mistake on Griffin's part IMO.... He said Rampage's leg became elusive, but I didnt see it...

I think Forest didn't go for the leg that much because he had respect for Quinton. If he didn't like the guy he would have ended his career for a bit.

Forest is getting better and better.. and Chucks game is up... so no worries there.

Anderson the Spider drops weight to get to 185 now.

glad Im not the only one who saw Griffin eating bombs the whole fight. Apparently the judges didnt see it. Griffin's chin is what won him the fight IMO.

Griffin did get caught with an uppercut that sat him on his a$$ in the 2nd I beleive, i'm surprised he snapped out of it in time since he is known for having a weak chin..

Griffins always been known to have one of the best chins in the biz. he's only been knocked out once when Jardine caught him. But his head has been pounded on like no other and always keeps goin.

Griffin has a great chin and I agree thats what saved him. Rampage did seem to have Underestimated Griffin a bit.

I think the fight was way closer then what the Judges scored. Rampage should have won the 2nd... but lost the rest.

I also saw Chris Leban 4th of July weekend...His girl has a hot body. Noticed him after I saw his tattoos on his back. It was in a open shopping center near the beach in Hawaii.
