wasn't round 2 the round where griffin had rampage on his back practically the full round eating elbows?

yea, but looking at Rampage after the fight, you could tell they did little damage. Griffin def won the round by a long shot, just not to a 10-8 extent IMO.
Id see a 10-8 round if Rampage was knocked down and almost out 1-2 times and saved by the end of the round or something....

my sis came over to watch the fight. She's a huge UFC/ Forrest Griffin fan and was jumping up and down in round 2. But most of the fight was squeezing my arm thinking Griffin was about to get knocked out at any moment cause he was taking so many shots to the head by Rampage.
Even she was surprised he won the fight and he was who she was going for. haha

one things for sure, Griffin has one hard f'n head and has NO quit in him :lol

so ^^^^..the dudes arm is still bent as he refused to tap out from a previous fight & got his arm broke (never healed properly)

Griffin will take so much more than most mma fighters

hell yeah/
dont thin you'll ever see him tap out ever.

if he ever loses it'll be cause the fight was stopped or he's choked out cold.

... or Jardine bounces his head off the ring like a basketball ... :lol

would def be an awesome fight.
if I had to choose Id put my money on Penn....

Im one of those that thought Rampage barely won the fight.A 10-8 round is an extremely 1-sided dominated round which Rnd2 it wasnt IMO. It was just Griffin cathing him good with the leg kicks and def gaining the upper hand and decisively wining the round, but not to a 10-8 extent.

Everybodys seen the footage of Rampage getting put into a triangle and then slamming the guy out like a light. You could tell Forrest had seen that footage a lot too when he let go when he was picked up. lol

I was completely unbiased, just wanting a good fight. Which they def came thru with. Very enjoyable, but I still think Rampage barely won. The scorecards (esp that one) were a joke.
.. Im also still pissed this Ultimate FIghter coaches fight was even a PPV at all. I dont thikn it shoudlve been ...

No you're not. I think there are alot of people questioning the final result. It reminded me of the fight late last year between Bisping and Hamill, a terrible decision that had even the extremely pro Bisping London crowd booing.

Obviously this decision isn't in the same category as that one, but it was a poor decision all the same. No way was the 2nd round a 10-8 score, yes Griffin won the round but no way did he totally dominate, and that's what's required to get a 10-8 round.

I think Rampage was right in the post fight interview when he mentioned that in order to become the champ you're supposed to clearly beat the champ...and that didn't happen. That aside, it was a great fight and no doubt there will be a rematch.

hope so........he dominate hughes & serra but both are a shadow of the former selves

He also dominated Koschek in their match, and he's certainly no slouch. I think GSP is the best welterweight in the world, obviously so does BJ Penn, who desperately wants a match with him.

Honestly, Serra was good, but not THAT good. Hughes was pretty good in his prime, but he's old now. GSP/Penn would be an awesome fight. That would finially finish the GSP/Penn/Hughes triangle that has been going on the last few years.

As for Griffin, I still remember him when he lost that one fight, and during the interview he ran away crying like a little girl. :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

yeah he mentioned that when he won at the weekend :lol:lol

I also still want to see Hughes vs Serra

Just when interviewed he started off by saying something like "I ain't gonna be crying, done that last time, feck that sh@t" :lol:lol

:rotfl:rotfl At least I gained a little more respect for him right there. Going have to download the fight tonight and watch it.

how bout the time he spooned the guy after choking him to tap .... :lol .. nothing like a rear naked body/spoon hug ....

Hey guys, Griffin can enjoy the Belt for now, just wait til Anderson "Tha Spider" Silva comes into this 205 weight class and sweeps it like he swept the 185 pound weight class... He will be the next Lightheavyweight Champ!!!

I don't think he'll go up. He's too skinny and small. Sure he's flipping good, but I think he's going to stay where he is.
