well....he is getting pretty old. I think Cro Cop got lucky one punched (or one kicked) from that giant mexican guy. I could see him LOSE, but not getting masacred like Cro Cop did.

That was no Mexican Guy, that was Gonzaga, he is Brazilian!!!

I also saw Chris Leban 4th of July weekend...His girl has a hot body. Noticed him after I saw his tattoos on his back. It was in a open shopping center near the beach in Hawaii.

Leban is instructing now at Icons here in Hawaii along with some other known guys.

anyone at any time CAN lose in a MMA fight, that's why it is as exciting as it is. there are so many variables and so many ways to win or lose, unlike boxing where the only way to win is with your hands.

Just because someone loses a couple of fights, imo counting them out is crazy talk. Even the best lose every now and then, no one in this sport is invincible and will win forever. Saying Chuck Lidell is done, is as crazy as saying that Gonzaga guy is the top of his sport for a lucky one punch to knock out cro cop.

Chuck has at least 4 years left in him, just look at Randy Couture for an example of "age". It's all about your mind and how well you take care of your body in this sport. The great thing is, you can get old and slower than you were in your prime, but if you know how to effectively adjust your game, you can still win and fight.

But all Chuck has is a good standing game...ufc is rapidly evolving are they're a new all more rounded technically superior fighters starting to appear....Griffin knows this that's why he's trying to more away from being a brawler
You stand & bang with Chuck you'll probably lose....if you take him down, I ain't seen anything in his locker to worry about

I honestly don't know how he beats anybody. Loved it when Anderson Silva beat him in like 19 seconds....

Silva is 1 bad ass motha f----r! But I say anyone who steps into the octagon is bad ass. Anyone of us can talk smack on any fighter, even on the 0-2 record fighter... but they probably still kick our asses.

It's going to be very interesting what happens next weekend.. the 19th.

Oh... and what a bunch of crap letting Jessie come back. Why punish him in the first place!?!?!?!?!

Jesse will screw up again and end up permenantly out. He doesnt have the self control to handle fame/success... but I think he could go a long way as a fighter if it werent for that...

I was really not impressed by Jesse in the first place, all he did in all his fights was to take the guy to the ground and hold him down, I say any of the other fighters would K O him in a stand up fight!!:moon

IF Chuck were to train and take care of his body the way Randy does, he would have several more good years left in him....but he doesn't. He loves the party lifestyle, much to the chagrin of his trainers, and hasn't recently fought in the best condition, except for the fight with Wanderlei.

I'm not saying Chuck is washed up, but I certainly see him on the decline. It wasn't that long ago fighter's were terrified by his knockout power, but he hasn't been able to knock out any one of his last three opponents, while losing two of those three fights.

Woodsy, Couldnt agree more mate, When I watched Liddell/Rampage the insecrity of him showed through, his speed, accuracy and power of the punches are what set him apart from the rest, but against Rampage he hadnt even got into gear, and looked totally outclassed. And I think a guy who believed it was pretty much impossible for him to get knocked out, getting knocked down. And when he fought Jardine he looked like a shell of his former self, give him a few more fights and he will either come back stronger, or retire.
One things for certain, BISPING ALL THE WAY!!! He totally deserves a title shot as the guys a machine!

No doubt he has peaked and is probably on a decline, but saying that he's done is laughable. It's fact that any champion who wins as much as Liddell has will get mentally bored and can easily get caught up in the "lifestyle". It's human nature and that is exactly what happened to Liddell and also Hughes, and a lot more. However, I think that Hughes' weight class just got too talent rich for him already, I don't see him coming back from his defeats. But with Liddell I think he still has a really really good shot at getting the title back again.

I mean, Chuck lost to Keith Jardine................that means it's time to hang it up

the kicks Jardine was dishing out were vicious to be fair though, due to points as well, I never really take that much notice of points defeats/victories. nothing says you won like a knockout or submission.

That fight was rigged my friends. No way Jardine won that, but that's why you finish, and not let it go to the cards!

Keith Jardine bounced Griffin's head off the matt like a basketball and Griffin just beat Rampage.

Just goes to show anybody can win on any given day.
thats what i like most about MMA fights :monkey1
