I think NOG might be done. Theres alot of rumours he's been getting KO'd during sparing sessions. And he did look aweful against Mir. If this fight was 5 years ago I think Nog wins with ease. However, Randy didn't look too good against Lesner. Stange fight. But if the training rumours are true Randy shouldn't have a problem. I bet Randy trys to keep it standing.

Nothing is confirmed.. so it's just rumors. Even in the Mir fight Nog wasn't knocked out. He was rocked, and he could barely stand but he wasn't out cold. So I have a hard time believing that.

Well the first thing that's being investigated is if the video is real i.e. is the "victim" really handicapped!? Was he murdered (which is what A LOT of sites claim when showing the video)!? And most importantly was an actual crime committed!? Because that video is no different than the videos of Gracie family members beating down people. So we'll see.

I was all over that story. I watched the vid. Its pretty crazy. I haven't followed it up in awhile, but cant believe all the work forum members are doing, crazy.

Could be interesting. Hell if Kimbo vs. James Thompson can get 6 Million+ viewers on CBS I'm sure BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez for the UFC LW Title can top that.

Yeah just read this. THere's already two events for November and Dana seems adamant about fitting Penn vs Dirty Sanchez in Nov as well. that's going to be a great month + my bday, the big 30

That could be debatable. IMO, neither BJ or Sanchez has the name recognition outside MMA circles that Kimbo has. It will be very interesting to see the numbers. I'm sure they'll be crazy because whether you like him or not, Dana is a great Marketer.

I think its to counter the Strikeforce card on Showtime. But any free MMA is awesome. I wont be ordering Randy v Nog this weekend. Its getting crazy with all the UFC PPV at almost 2 a month. But gotta love the free Internet.

Yup. That's the main reason why there's currently no date set. The UFC is waiting for Strikeforce to announce when Fedor will be fighting and then it's counter-programming city.

About the network deal for the UFC: From what I'm hearing it might be ABC with the events sponsored/presented by ESPN. And since ESPN and ABC have a deal already, possibly replays etc. on ESPN beyond the coverage UFC events already get on there. Could be big.. or it could fall apart like the HBO deal.

i dont really bet on mma, but doesnt the fact that someone can get dropped instantly make you more hesitant? as opposed to boxing even, where so many fights seem almost scripted.

I get really pumped watching too. The worst was Randy vs Gonzaga. I had money on Randy, he was the underdog, and I was there, which made it 100 times more intense.
