Dana White said other wise. He said something like if Silva wants to keep fighting at higher weight classes thats fine but he cant have both. Meaning he needs to defend his belt in a timly manner or vacate it to move up.

He's scheduled to fight Hendo for the MW title unless the UFC switches it to Hendo vs. Marquardt for the title shot. So I don't see the problem!?

You may not but it seems White does. It was in a tweet I believe he said he wants Silva fighting meaningfull fights not jumping weight here and there. Silva has been talking of a fight agianst Mir as of late.

Well I could see if his non-MW fights were holding up title defenses like Penn's WW fight with GSP held up the LW title. But I don't think that's the case here.
