This was my idea for the HW divisions future match ups:

I hope the UFC does this:

Put the winner of Velasquez/Rothwell vs. the winner of Dos Santos/Cro Cop.

Then put the winner of Kongo/Mir vs. Big Nog with the winner of that fight getting the next title shot.

Then put the winner of Velasquez/Rothwell - Dos Santos/Cro Cop against whoever loses at 106 (Carwin/Lesnar).

That makes the most sense to me.

Factoring in Couture: Let him fight the loser of Velasaquez/Rothwell or Cro Cop/Dos Santos.

Then instead of the winner of Velasquez/Rothwell - Dos Santos/Cro Cop against whoever loses at 106 (Carwin/Lesnar) maybe slide in Couture.

Or even give Couture the loser of Carwin/Lesnar.

Also Couture has expressed an interest in fighting both Machida and Anderson Silva at LHW.

I doubt Couture will fullfill those 6 fights though. It's more to just ensure that he retires with the UFC. Which is what he wanted.

Man.. Forrest went from the original ultimate fighter beating Shogun and Rampage back-to-back winning the LHW championship to losing that belt immediately to Rashad and being embarassed by A.Silva back-to-back.

Talk about a quick reversal of fortune.

I could see that happening so since both of these guys are coming off of 2 fight loss streak you are pretty much guranteed to get a winner (unless something crazy happens) and you could get the winner marketing better again.
