Me neither. Nog looked incredible tonight.. but it doesn't change the fact that Randy landed A LOT of shots on Big Nog. Luckily Randy isn't a KO puncher but Nog will not be able to take those kind of shots from Lesnar or Carwin imo.

Daamn, so lesnar vs carwin is set? Where the ^^^^ have I been, I thought carwin was gonna fight Cain...

I hope the UFC does this:

Put the winner of Velasquez/Rothwell vs. the winner of Dos Santos/Cro Cop.

Then put the winner of Kongo/Mir vs. Big Nog with the winner of that fight getting the next title shot.

Then put the winner of Velasquez/Rothwell - Dos Santos/Cro Cop against whoever loses at 106 (Carwin/Lesnar).

That makes the most sense to me.

UFC 102

Attendance: 16,088.

Gate: $1.92 million.

Nate Marquardt won Knockout of the Night for $60,000.

Rosholt won Submission of the Night for $60,000.

Nogueira and Couture won Fight of the Night for $60,000 each.

Couture signed a new UFC contract Saturday before the fight for 28 months and six more fights.

Damn Couture and Nog went to war...but Nog dominated. I thought it would be a much closer fight...

I really wanted to see Randy win BUT....

Just put 1k on Couture to win.

LOL!!! :lol what a MMA expert! Im so stoked he lost 1k! :lol :rotfl:rotfl

On top of this greatness, the icing on the cake was seeing Jardine get laid out like a door mat. :lol

Amazing fights last night. Nog getting KO in training must of been a oad of bull ^^^^ but maybe not seeing his training partners. Nasedo I don't have a problem with you but this goes to show you why I would never bet on a MMA fight, too unpredictable. Very pleased with the fights. Every time people say a certain card is going to suck it turns out being the best one in a while.

On another note, any news on the UFC signing with ABD or whatever? And thanks for posting the Couture signing another contract, I didn't know what.

Damn Nog looked great last night. Great PPV event.

Yeah, I seriously thought he was going to lose, but I am glad I was wrong.

During heavy sparring sessions, it's not that uncommon getting Ko'd by your partner. I wouldn't doubt Nog prepared immensely for this fight, trying to prove all the naysayers wrong from his last fight.

This was the best UFC event this year so far imo,so many was literally put to sleep.

I think Nog surprised us all,he looked really good.

People were making it sound like he was getting KO with ease. We saw they were wrong.

 Yes it is. That's why it's such big news when rumors or confirmed reports of it happening get out. That's a BAD sign if you're preparing for a fight and you're getting KO'ed during sparring. What's not uncommon is for the name fighter to KO sparring partners. Tyson did it all the time. Not sure if you're a Boxing fan and/or remember a fighter named Shannon Briggs but when he was tearing through the HW division beating cans word got out that he was routinely KO'ed by sparring partners. So people started questioning his chin and if he could hang with top level competition. Briggs (25-0 at the time) was KO'ed the first time he fought a credible, young HW. So sorry but I disagree 100% with the idea that it's not uncommon to get KO'ed by sparring partners. It's rare.

Let's not forget that randy does not have knockout punch....

Exactly. No doubt Big Nog looked incredible like I said, but he still got tagged A LOT by Randy. Fortunately Randy isn't a KO puncher. I think we all know Nogueira wasn't 100% in the Mir fight but I think in a rematch Mir would do the exact same thing. Might be a different outcome, but in the stand up I still say Mir>Big Nog.
