UFC 107 looks like no joke either

BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez
Frank Mir vs. Cheick Kongo
Thiago Alves vs. Paulo Thiago
Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida
Paul Buentello vs. Todd Duffee

Definetly a good card. I love Mir and Alves so that makes the card really sweet then you have a showdown with Penn vs Sanchez. UFC 107, 108, (and most likely 109) are amazing.

I'm really interested in seeing how Mir vs Kongo goes down. Mir said that he has better hands than Kongo. I'd like to see if he tries to prove it...

Fight:
Wes Sims (Team Rampage) vs. Justin Wren (Team Rashad)

Result:
Justin Wren submits Wes Sims by Arm Triangle in Round 1. Team Rashad is 5 - 0 now. lmao.

:D

WOW....no wonder he left the UFC. You think he did it on purpose???

why would he do it on purpose?

he looked like garbage though! lol

kimbo will get back in and knock everyone out

Is it me or has TUF been really boring so far? There has only been 1 descent fight so far and we haven't gotten to the point where Ramp puts his head through a door.........

It's not just you. :lol

I think this season absolutely sucks so far. Maybe it'll pick up during the Semi's!? Hopefully.

I can't figure out why I am still watching. Wes was .....I have no words.

This might make things clearer. Scott Junk (Team Rampage) has a blog he updates every week after TUF 10 airs. Here's what he had to say about Wes:

Scott Junk said:
Leading up to the fight, Wes had a couple of serious injuries. One was his lower back, the other was his left heel, his heel was so tender he couldn't put any weight on it. Wes trained hard almost every day, the days that he didn't train was due to injuries. Day of the fight, Wes felt good, but didn't stick to the game plan. He was told by all the coaches not to kick. The reason being that when he kicked, his injury would prevent him from getting back into his fight stance. Sure enough, when he kicked, Justin took him down instantly. From there I don't know what happened. Wes's ground is actually good, he just underestimated Justin Wren and it cost him the fight.

Episode 6 somebody from our team sustains a cut over their eye and Kimbo couldn't be happier...stay tuned!

Spoiler = What happens on next weeks episode.

Can't ^^^^ing wait!!!

UFC 108 The Ultimate 2009 Rumored Card
Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva
Wanderlei Silva vs Yoshihiro Akiyama
Dan Henderson vs Nate Marquardt

Scratch off Wandy and Sexyama.. Wand confirmed in a video blog he's fighting Akiyama February 21st in Sydney, Australia. UFC 111 Main event.

So 108 is looking like this now:

Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort (Confirmed)
Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva (Confirmed)
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Junior dos Santos
Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley
Tyson Griffin vs. Jim Miller
Cole Miller vs. Dan Lauzon
Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout

Devil, is Silva-Belfort still confirmed? Why are there articles now saying that Silva is basically having second thoughts. He better not wuss out like he did with Hendo.

No it's confirmed. Silva's manager Ed Soares was just saying they didn't think Vitor deserved the next title shot and that the winner of Hendo vs. Marquardt did. Funniest part was the reasoning: Vitor has only had 1 fight back in the UFC and that wasn't at 185 lbs. it was a catch weight bout with Franklin. Ed quickly followed that up with "I know Silva only had one fight in the UFC before getting a Title shot but that's different".

lmao. So Anderson Silva's manager is just complaining but that fight is happening regardless. That was the main reason the UFC pursued Vitor. So unless one of them gets injured, it's on.

That fight will happen. Dana put way to much stock into Vitor. It might not be at 108 though, Silva just had surgery.

Even though Vitor had to retry to make 195 it's pretty common knowledge that he has been fighting at 185. He took the Franklin fight on short notice in some regards, so it had to be catchweight. I don't see why Silva's manager tried pulling that card.

I'll be cheering for Vitor, but imo he didn't really do much to deserve a title shot either, so I can see where Silva's management is coming from at least. Vitor sells though, Nate and Hendo do not imo.

Dan Henderson might be leaving the UFC. He's going to start listening to other offers (although the UFC still has like a 6 month window to match or counter-offer) because the UFC doesn't want to pay Dan what he's asking for which is more than what he's currently making ($100,000 to Fight + $150,000 Win Bonus). That's only the amount that's reported though.. so who knows how much he actually makes.

As much as I love Hendo, he really isn't worth the big bucks right now. I big KO of Bisping isn't enough to warrant top pay IMO. If he was to KO Nate in the same fashion as he did Bisping then yea pay the man but not now.
