But the funny thing is, you can't formulate a logical response to the fact that the UFC has the best talent out there right now. Until Shields beats a GSP, Hughes, Fitch, etc I don't buy it.

Shields is a decent fighter, but realistically he needs to fight some top WW's before people act like he's something special.

That's the guy. There is hype from his org, which he is the champ of. Everyone else just recognizes him as a decent fighter with potential to do well in the UFC. Edit*Mostly everyone.

Shields has an impressive MMA resume... Lawler, Okami, Condit, and Daley aren't nobodies... It's not as impressive as GSP's, but it's solid.

A win over Hughes wouldn't do much for him. Especially now that the UFC seems to padding his record by picking opponents tailored for his style.

Those are good fighters indeed, but they are not elite fighters such as hughes was, penn is, gsp is, etc.

Youre right though, they are not nobodies, but those are just a handful of opponents who are actually 'ok', compared to the other 20 wins on Shields' record. that was my main point.

I agree, shields is decent to good as a fighter. but the berzzerkerr guy said he is the most dominant and talented which i 100% disagreed upon......

GSP wouldn't stand with Serra the 2nd time around. However, I think GSP is a great fighter, one of the "smartest" out there. He sticks to his game plan and it works.

Im interesed to see Koscheck avenge his SHOCKING KO loss to Thiago. It would be something if Thiago beats him again.

Marquardt vs Sonnen interests me as well. Sonnen is very underrated, he took out a GAME Danny Miller and Okami (thank god). nate should win, but i wanna see a battle...and i think that's what Sonnen is gonna give em. After that Paolo Fihlo nonsense, i really wish the best for Sonnen.

Serra vs trigg...interesting...who's more washed up? I'll say trigg.


It would never happen, Sonnen got dicked out of the WEC middleweight belt, how great would it be if he won the Coveted UFC Middleweight title (it wouldn't happen, but i would love to see it)

I would LOVE to see LIL NOG KO "the truth" in similar Luis Cane fashion.

Couture will be victorious...should be an interesting wrestling match...Randy will edge Coleman on the feet and in the clinch.
