I hope BJ doesnt try to go back up to 170lb, he's perfect at 155. That said if GSP made the move up to 185 BJ could rule both 170 and 155. JMO Also I think its time to move BJ into the top 3 P4P.

Imo BJ and GSP need to move up a weight class. There's not much left for them in their current divisions.

GSP should step up and fight Anderson Silva. That would be an awesome fight. GSP is at the point at his weight class were they are just giving him no competition to fight. Same as Penn, that is why he moved up to fight GSP. But if Penn should move up again, he should work his way up to GSP not straight to the champ. And since he is finally training I say he has a winning chance. Like everyone say's anything can happen in MMA.

It wouldn't matter. GSP makes 170 and jumps up to 185+ or so come fight night. Even if the catch weight were 160.. he'd do the exact same thing. Physically, GSP is bigger than Penn. Nothing will change that. Penn can add weight.. but it'll be flab and not muscle. So GSP will still be stronger.

Penn needs to accept that and remain in the LW division. GSP has already beaten him twice. And the second time was a flat out ass rape. No need for a third massacre.

Penn looks unstoppable at LW. He should focus on that.

Exactly what I think. It's to the point where they are giving these guys fighters by default. Is Dan Hardy the number 2 welter? Probably not. But GSP already beat the rest. There's two viable options for BJ at 155 imo, Maynard or Edgar. I would say Florian, Sanchez, and Stevenson are better, but BJ has already owned each of them.

Dana said that if BJ goes up he will have to fight his way to a GSP rematch. I'm more interested in seeing him fight Fitch, Kos, Hardy, etc than anyone at LW right now.

It would take some serious training years before BJ can get to 170 shredded and then I would say it's a fair match but then there's the athleticism as well.

No way that happens anytime soon. GSP need to fight at 185 atleast 2 times before then to be where he needs to be to fight someone as big as Anderson Silva. GSP walk around about 184-185lbs, Silva walks around near 200-205lbs, that's a huge difference

Yeah I know, I meant since Penn is finally taking his training seriously. Penn was winning till he gassed out on the second fight with Hughes. From the fight with Sanches, there was no slowing down. That was Penn's biggest problem, conditioning. Now the thing is, could he hang with the bigger boys in conditioning?

I don't disagree. However we have already seen that one. GSP pistol whipped him for three rounds.

I find it highly unlikely that Penn, GSP or Silva will find much competition for a while; the only real up for grabs divisions seem to be the LHW and HW.
