Yeah I love Randy, but thats where Randy fails and doesnt fail in the sense of losing, but just sometimes coming off as a boring fighter. He fights smart and unfortunately doesnt always translate as a exciting fight. Vera should have kept him at bay with more kicks instead of waiting til the end to start letting them go.

Yea that fight was crap. The ref was in total awe of Randy, when ever Randy had Vera agianst the fence the ref let it go but when Vera had the better position the ref stood the back up or reset the from the clinch. Ontop of that Randy got knocked down and mounted but he's the UFC golden boy so ofcourse he won.

Nah it's cool. We're just discussing/debating. No need to catch feelings. We all have different views and it's nice to see/hear all of them. We can't ALWAYS agree with everyone. Jeez that would be pretty boring actually.

I highly doubt Vera "let" Randy hold him up against the cage. It doesn't make any logical sense seeing that Vera's best game is to stay within striking distance and avoid the clinch.

So yes, it is ring control.

I've seen matches were refs broke up clinches against the fence after time and then tell them to actually fight. lol But that was when Big John McCarthy was around. Doesnt matter, if Randy tries that again, he's going to end up knocked down again.

Couture's win does open up some interesting possible matches -

Kimbo (at a catch weight = ratings explosion), Forrest Griffin, or even the loser of Rua/Machida or Evans/Rampage.

I wonder if Randy would even fight Forrest, since Forrest trains at Coutures gym...a fight with Kimbo might be good for ratings, but kimbo being a striker and Randy fighting the way he fights...it will the same as Randy vs Brandon on the fence.

I dont see him fighting Kimbo but hen again, I never thought I'd see him fighting Vera. I dont understand this 'catch weight'.
