top 5? highly doubt it..

Many sites have Eddie in the top ten, most of them list him as top five (the ones that look at all the talent, not just the UFC and North American companies) on sherdog he is listed as 3rd. Say Huerta beats the dudes he needs to beat and makes it to Alvarez. Then say he beats him, since Alvarez is ranked 3rd then that should put Huerta at least in the top ten possibly top five.

Needless to say even if Huerta does beat Alvarez and is put in the top ten LW's I do not think he deserves it. He is a good fighter but not top ten worthy. Maynard beat him convincgly and so did Florian. Hell if Guida had killer instinct he could have finished Huerta when he had the chance.

My point is I agree with you on the fact that he doesn't belong in top five (if that's what you mean) but I have always understood that if you beat someone then you atleast move to where they were ranked or close to it.

He'd definitely be top 10 if he beat Alvarez. Hell most people ranked Brett Rogers in the Top 10 after he beat Arlovski (who was ranked #2 at the time). And look at Werdum.. he was magically put into the Top 10 at HW after beating two unranked opponents: Mike Kyle & Antonio Silva. So it's possible.

Looking forward to Vera vs Jones tomorrow and what Jones`gameplan is,if he is trying to run over his opponent like he always do he might risk getting stopped by Vera`s dangerous kicks, should be a very exciting fight.
