They all been sucking lately, eventhough I think the UFC is the best organazation, so far this year all the cards have been lacking. But this strikeforce crap is horrible. They need to go under.

I dont think they need to go under, weather they have a good roster or fighters, competition within the sport is needed. You cant have one organization running the whole sport.

Your definitely right. I think they have a really good roster, just bad matchups today for me.

But how can you compete without that!? That's their biggest problem, actually that's what every orgs problem has been: the UFC has the best fighters on lock. So competing orgs get rejects/ex-champs and they build their companies around that. THAT just doesn't work. No one is building up future stars.

Look at what happened tonight:

Mousasi was supposed to be their LHW king, and King Mo was their big up and coming star. They BOTH looked like crap and they both looked like they were making their MMA debuts. It was terrible.

Which brings up the next problem: who do these guys fight next!? Strikeforce LHW division = barren. Their HW division is sorely lacking. Their LW division is so bad they had to bring in a fighter from DREAM. Their WW division sucks so bad Shields had to go to MW for fights and NOW even their MW division has no fights after Hendo vs. Shields. They just don't have the talent.

as far as organizations building up guys, thats where Bellator comes in. Dana has even mentioned that he loves Bellator, because he knows he scouts them because Bellators brings locals and nobodies and the winners of there tournaments the UFC scouts pretty much. The UFC has the best fighters because they have the money to hold them and lock them on contract.

They have the "UFC" name branded into peoples mind so well that they can do that kind of thing. Its the same when people say "Ultimate Fighting" instead of saying MMA. In the mainstream mind and the casual fan mind, UFC = MMA or again "Ultimate Fighting" fr that matter.

Wow...that brawl isnt going to be good...lets hope we actually get another event and CBS doesnt just say "good ridance to the hoodlums"

How can anyone defend strikeforce after tonight. LMAO I'm speechless. Gracie are supposed to be respectful yet Gracie camps seem like they are always getting into fights.

yeah thats the scrap pack boys...there a rowdy bunch man. They need to humble down a little and not just go straight into the fight.
Jason shouldnt have interupted the interview, but he didnt go in with bad intentions at least from what I seen. Im sure were going to be hearing alot about this now.

I also think the reason why the UFC can do what the do because again there the biggest organizations with the most money to make things happen. Just look at the title of this thread, lol.:duh

You know whats funny is today I actually was thinking the title should be changed to MMA. I will say a majority of the posts are about UFC because they hold the most events so it is justified in a sense.

Gracie are supposed to be respectful

 I've seen other people say this before and I've never understood it. The Gracie's were some of the biggest A-holes in MMA. Royce would routinely hold onto subs (something that gets fighters nowadays suspended) Renzo stepped on a guys neck once after subbing him and he would even kick guys off him after subbing them. Same with Ralph Gracie, he was a complete ****** in a lot of his fights in Extreme Fighting (kicking people off of him, stepping on them after subbing them).

So iunno man. Kinda douchey IMO.

Yep...I remember when after the fight was stopped, Renzo stepped on Ben Spikers back in World Combat Championships in the early 90's. Renzo and Ben actually had problem with each other behind the scenes which is the reason why Renzo did it, but still it wasnt justified. I agree Ralph has always been a huge A-hole. I remember back in the early 90's also during Extreme Fighting events Ralph did a few questionable things. I think the whole kicking and stepping on the guy afterwards is a Brazilian thing, because if you watch alot of early Vale Tudo straight from Brazil its a common practice. I think it actually is a total disrespect type thing sort of like the big "FU" after you get the win.

Just read the results. :lol King Mo, Melendez, and Shields need to jump ship immediately.

If you want to see Renzo being a ******, watch Almeida vs Marquardt. Marquardt was trying to spike Almeida, and Renzo took it to heart. So when Almeida choked Marquardt out for the win, Renzo got in the ring and started kicking a downed Marquardt. It wasn't even his fight, and he kicked a downed man.

Yup. Saw it before. :lol:lol:lol

At least we can look forward to seeing Renzo get another beating soon. Unless the UFC brass realized how dumb signing him was, and cuts him. He's not beating anyone imo.

I'll still give Renzo props for being one of the fewe gracies that would fight no matter what without having a hundred different reasons as to why he couldnt fight someone. He goes in and win or lose, he fights and im cool with that.

I remember some of those Royce fights. The guy would tap and the ref would tap Royce and he would still hold onto the submission. WTF is that about?
