Boxing isn't unified. They just have co-promotion. Which even then, doesn't work and prevents fights regardless. And Boxing has MULTIPLE managers/promoters ruining it because they're all leeches. Trust me, if MMA ever adopts the same model as Boxing it'll die a slow death.

i guess both have their good and bad points but if a fighter dodges the #1 contender he loses his belt so that's good but then again Dana has done a good job at giving us the fights we want since it's in his best interest but it also hurts when fighters don't sign with the UFC then we don't get to see all the fights we want but then again there aren't too many outside the UFC that I want to see anyway.

Fans are fickle and most attach themselves to whoever is on top at the moment. When a guy is winning he's the best. When he loses.. he's a bum. Same reason so many nut huggers worship Fedor. Once Fedor loses watch how many of those "real" fans jump ship and say he's always been garbage.

That's why I don't bother with all that. I just watch fights and enjoy them for what they are. I try to avoid all the soap opera/man loving most fans seem to relish.

that's what i dont understand about you dude. Youre knowledgeable and a big fan of the sport yet you admit that you're not a fan of any 'fighter', just the sport itself... why not? It's not man loving, nut hugging if you genuinely want a certain fighter to succeed for any personal reason. for me, im a Penn fan because he's the hometown boy and the first one to really put hawaii on the map in the sport. win or lose, im a fan of him. Is that nuthugging?

I also don't have any respect for fairweather fans, but that is no reason to deter you or anyone from being a fan of someone. if youre afraid to cheer someone on when they have lost then that's kind of sad imo.

Yeah he was pretty good at the takedowns. Only thing was he kept his head in and thats a no-no.

If kimbo was younger and/or had okay knees and legs, he would be able to do more.

Meathead did a good job at going for subs on his back. Not sure who they will have him fight next. I dont think Meathead has really been tested yet. I'll laugh if his next opponent is Mir.
