Duffee vs. Russow

i6f48l.gif

The little meaningless punch at the end is what cracks me up.

"Unnn.. take that you big baddie!" :lol

:rotfl Yeah that punch was pointless. Russow is going to have one helluva headache though.

I can't get over the duffee result, he was all over him for 2 rounds, then BAM :lol It looked to me in the 1st that Russow wasn't going to land a single punch.

Duffee was gassed and didnt have good composer and when that punch came, it was enough to drop him. Basically Duffee punched himself out. Regardless, Russow needs to go to the gym and work on his defense. Taking punches like those isnt good.:thud:

rampage had the fight one in round 3, rashad was hurting and then he just lays off rashad?? very sketchy imo, and i've been watching ufc for a loooong time.

very disappointed. my whole party was screaming at the tv and pretty pissed off :lol

Rampage was gassed thats why he backed off. He even said so much about that after the fight.

still... herb was right there, and i guarantee that if rampage just kept throwing (even weak punches) it would have been stopped. imo, he gave up.

I agree with you on that. I have seen matches stopped were the guy was just throwing weak punches. He should have got on him and throw elbows no matter how tired he was. Isnt being on the ground with top position better than standing for someone who is tired?

Yep, screw punching, in that position he should have been dropping elbows...but if your gassed, maybe his arms had given out on him from all the clinch fighting. While it wasnt the most exciting, Rashad fought smart and he did what he needed to do to nullify Quintons strength and striking.

As for Duffee...yep I said the same thing in round 2, while he was landing a ton of shots none of them were really stopping Russow so he should slow it down a bit before he gasses...next thing you know were all in amazement.

Then use your knees or even your toes. lol

who knows...I doubt they get a rematch, because it really wasnt that exciting of a fight. I think the trash talk is what got people hyped up and then the outcome was rather meh.

Rashad vs Rampage fight was a let down. Not very exciting to watch at all.

Rashad vs. Shogun, now that is going to be good.

Just finished watching this since I couldn't watch it Sat. night and I was happy with the purchase...even though it didn't have a lot of fights I was really looking forward to I thought it was a crazy night of fights. Sad that the judges robbed the guy of the win over little Nog...terrible.

I was disapointed with Rampage's heart, he had it if only he would have done anything, no matter how weak the punches/elbows would have been. Tired is not being able to walk out of the octagon without help or not being able to give an interview because you can't get enough oxygen to talk.

I can't fault Rashaad's gameplan but when get took Rampage down he wouldn't work...if you have someone down, do something..anything..punch, submission attempts..something, he did the same thing when he had Rampage up against the fence. But it did the job and other than Rampage catching him once, he dominated control. A win is a win.

Both Rampage's heart and Rashad's chin were tested in that fight and both failed. Rashad did the same thing Couture did against Vera, press him against the fence and wait for 15 mins.

at the same time though, Ramp used to be a great clinch fighter, but he didnt even try to do anything in it. I find it hard to believe that Rashad was so much stronger than him that he couldnt do anything with it.

He gave up after Rashad hit him with that punch in the beginning of the 1st rd. And Rampage hasnt worked on his wrestling very much. Who at Wolf's Lair is a top wrestler? Rampage focused on boxing because his plan was to go in there and strike with him, not wrestle. Rashad was striking with Nurse and wrestling against GSP and Carwin. He made sure all his bases were covered. Rampage didnt.

Same thing against Griffin as well.............and I'm sure if Silva didnt go in there and stand in front of Ramp, he might have lost that one as well.

Yeah even though Quinton has a wrestling background, its apparent that the primarily focuses on his striking.

Whats Rashad supposed to do stand right infront of him. :slap

Rashad fought to his strengths and avoided where Rampage was better.

Makes sense to me.
