Rashad fought to his strengths and avoided where Rampage was better.


Makes sense to me.

I was getting pissed at everyone booing Evans during the fight. Sorry, but he was in it to win and he probably knew he'd be in trouble if he tried to stand toe to toe with Rampage.

Rampage went into the fight expecting to get into an epic slugfest like we'd see in a Rocky movie, but Evans prepared to mix it up in the fight and had a perfect strategy IMO. I did get a bit nervous when Rampage rocked him though.

The backlash was from Rashad saying over and over again that he was gonna stand and bang with Rampage. All the talk about buying Rampage a "Snuggie" blanket because he was gonna get KTFO and go to sleep, etc. Then after all that.. he mostly leaned against him on the cage or took him to the ground. Rashad stood more with both Machida AND T.Silva.

Anyways.. the rumor is Rampage might be fighting Machida. Possibly on the same card as Rashad and Shogun for the title too (UFC 119 in September). That would be cool.

I would of boo'ed him, when he stalled on the fence. Neither fighter really committed though, Rampage had a chance to finish Rashad but let him off. I cant blame Rashad for doing what he has to for a win. It was a nice safe win, GSP has been doing the same thing.

I dont like Rashad, but he is talented and has the tools, although his chin looks suspect lately, thats probably why he took the safe route. But it goes both ways, cause Rampage didn't commit either, he has to get his crap together.

Anyways.. the rumor is Rampage might be fighting Machida (possibly on the same card as Rashad and Shogun for the title). That would be cool.

Would love to see those 2 fights on 1 card.

that would be a great card, but a very dangerous and difficult fight for Ramp the way he fights now. If he were to try and fight Machida the same way he fought Rashad, I can guarantee another loss by decision.

Totally agree man, I understand theres some boring points and sometimes we get impatient and we just want to see someone get dropped or something, but something about people booing gets me pissed also.

why get pissed? I just laugh since those people obviously dont know that they are watching a MMA fight were guys do what they have to do to win. Thats how they get paid. Plus most of them are drunk.

yeah I wouldnt say I get pissed, but yes annoyed I guess is the correct word. Yeah I agree, I mean if you pay your money you can do whatever, but its just annoying.

Machida would CRUSH Rampage with leg kicks and that would be the fight. Shogun vs Rashad should be very interesting. As much as I like Rashad I'd have to give the edge to Shogun.

Well my wife is half korean, and she brought a Korean flag to hold up when Kim Dong Hyun was fighting (who we ended up meeting, really cool), but yeah the dude was flipping the bird over the flag and then somone threw ice at us and the guys next to me kept saying "chinks dont win fights" and said something like "you gotta eat more than rice
to get strong" and my wife was getting all upset and stuff...not to mention the guys behind us were yelling "White Power" and when Rashad knocked out Chuck I was excited and the guy next to me looks at me and goes "I dont want no n*****r as a champion" I ignored him pretty much, but yeah most of the people around us were drunk needless to say...
