Ummmm isnt he just Brazilian? I mean he was born and still trains in Brazil.

Only a few more days before Chael gets his plastic surgery. Silva is going to do a nice job on his chin.

Yeah, but I think we're talking more "race" rather than ethnicity. Last time I checked, Brazil(as is MOST of South America, is considered to be Latin American).

And yeah, Chael is going to get hurt.

Edit: Brazilians ARE considered to be Latin American proper.

As for Anderson Silva, this was the best I could find: Anderson is of Pardo-Brazilian descent which is a mixture of Whites, Blacks and Amerindian. Pardo-Brazilian represent about 41% of Brazil's population

Which, again, he is not simply "Black."

Then again, I'm sure Devil would consider Obama to be "black" too.

lol Right Chief?

So you disagree that Anderson Silva is Latin American?

Do you understand the difference between nationality and race? Do you understand that Brazil has the largest black population outside of Africa? Do you understand that African slaves have been in Brazil since the early 1500's? Probably not.

You calling Anderson Silva "Latin American" or "Hispanic" simply because of where he lives is about as ignorant as calling a black person born and raised in China, who's a Chinese citizen, Chinese.

And yes, I would classify Penn as being Hawaiian. But considering most of his family members are Asian, he could be classified as being Asian American.

BJ Penn is Korean and White. He is not Hawaiian. He was born and raised there.. but there's an actual Polynesian race of Hawaiians. And Penn is not one. Again, big difference between nationality and race.

Yes, yes, and yes. And again, if Anderson Silva has"mixed heritage"(re: white AND black, etc.) than it would be EXTREMELY stupid to simply classify him as "black."

Just like those who classify Obama as "black" are wrong. It's an outdated classification, that simply doesn't apply in many cases.

I think there is an actual conversation here:

So you stated that Silva considers himself "Afro-Brazilian" is okay, but the fact that Penn considers himself Hawaiian is not?

I understand how they differ in race/ethnicity, but regardless, Penn was BORN in Hawaii. That makes him Hawaiian. As for his race, he can be considered Asian/White.

His Korean heritage allows for that.

So you stated that Silva considers himself "Afro-Brazilian" is okay, but the fact that Penn considers himself Hawaiian is not?

Silva classifies himself as "Afro-Brazillian" when it comes to his race. Nationality.. he states "Brazilian". For Penn.. when he states "Hawaiian" for his nationality I have no problem with that. But if he's asked what his race is, and he states "Hawaiian" (or anyone who's not Polynesian for that matter) yeah I have a problem with that. Because I'm actually Polynesian.

I KNEW that was coming, lol.

I figured you would've saved it amongst your stash of internet porn. And considering your most likely on the upper end of 300lbs and not too pretty to look at, I doubt there would be many pics of you or your family on your computer. Keep staring at my pic. You know you love it.

: )

By the way, this is the most recent I could find:

****The following definitions apply to the 2000 census only.[13]

"White. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as "White" or report entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Near Easterner, Arab, or Polish."[13]
"Black or African American. A person having origins in any of the Black racial groups of Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as 'Black, African Am., or *****,' or provide written entries such as African American, Afro American, Kenyan, Nigerian, or Haitian."[13]
"American Indian and Alaska Native. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America) and who maintain tribal affiliation or community attachment."[13]

"Asian. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam. It includes 'Asian Indian,' 'Chinese', 'Filipino', 'Korean', 'Japanese', 'Vietnamese', and 'Other Asian'."[13]
"Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands. It includes people who indicate their race as 'Native Hawaiian', 'Guamanian or Chamorro', 'Samoan', and 'Other Pacific Islander'."[13]
"Some other race. Includes all other responses not included in the 'White', 'Black or African American', 'American Indian and Alaska Native', 'Asian' and 'Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander' race categories described above. Respondents providing write-in entries such as multiracial, mixed, interracial, We-Sort, or a Hispanic/Latino group (for example, Mexican, Puerto Rican, or Cuban) in the "Some other race" category are included here."[13]
"Two or more races. People may have chosen to provide two or more races either by checking two or more race response check boxes, by providing multiple write-in responses, or by some combination of check boxes and write-in responses."[13]
****

If you could find a more recent list, that would be great, though I doubt it changed much.

Looking at it, I'd say you(and Anderson Silva are WRONG) and that the U.S. does not consider "Polynesian" to be a race.

Congratulations. You don't matter.

But if he's asked what his race is, and he states "Hawaiian" (or anyone who's not Polynesian for that matter) yeah I have a problem with that. Because I'm actually Polynesian.

How you forget what you typed only a few minutes ago baffles me.

You state above that your race is Polynesian. Then you say you should be classified as Pacific Islander.

Are you that indecisive?

:lol:lol:lol:lol

Hit the fridge, tubby. The twinkies are calling your name.

Considering your only defense is to post pics of me, I see this getting dragged into the same thing it was a month or so ago.

Me acting like a child, and you acting like a coward. Please, continue posting pics and showing your gay tendencies.

:hi5:

Just made my picks for UFC Fantasy:

Silva by KO Rd. 1
Fitch by Unan Decision
Guida by Decision
Almeida by Submission Rd. 2
Nelson by TKO Rd. 2

I think Nelson is going to surprise a lot of people, although I'd be an idiot not to think Dos Anjos couldn't KO him into next week.

Also, I really think Dos Anjos is going to beat Guida, but I'm a Guida fan.

This card is much better on paper than I think it will be live. We'll see...

Actually im pretty sure Penn has at least 1/4 of his blood as native hawaiian from his mom. he's said it himself answering fan's questions on his site.

Just did a quick google search and found this link https://ethnicelebs.com/bj-penn

But how someone can't consider Anderson Silva as "black" is beyond me. that's like saying a white guy isn't white... what?!?

I stand corrected. I knew about him being Korean (mom) and his dad being white (not the specifics though i.e. Irish and English). Thanks for the correction.

His mom is native Hawaiian and third-generation Korean.

You imply with the above sentence that "Polynesian" is a race.

:rotfl

Nothing wrong with my reading skills, but your comprehension skills are quite terrible.

I love the last pic, however, since it fits more your body type than mine.

:lol

Yeah, that's because it's listed as "Pacific Islander" chief.

:slap

You said the above statement AFTER I corrected you.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Since I'm almost positive you have no job and you're a 'stay-at-home' father, I'll wait for your no doubt ingenious response that's followed with another "biker pic" to show your sexual infatuation with me.

Again, while your logic of "anyone who rides a Harley MUST be a hardcore biker, or they're a 'wannabe" is quite childish, I really don't expect anything more out of you. I guess it's fitting since you're in your 30's and still watch WWF while salivating over naked men in a fake sport.

Heeeeeeyy....now I'm starting to see why you saved my pic and continue to post it! I WAS right!

Bwahahahahahahahaha.
