M1 might be "dirty" but wouldn't say garbage ;)

It's garbage because that whole team aspect doesn't work in MMA, which is an individual sport. IFL failing proved that. No one cares. People watch fights for the two fighters who are competing. Not for their "teams".

No one will ever care about an MMA "team" like a Soccer team, Football team, Baseball team, etc. Because MMA is not a team sport.

dont care about all that "team" drama thing. Fights are awesome. That is all I care about.

What about MMA in the Olympics?

Neither do I. "I dont want to fight him because he is my teammate"... lame.

i would imagine it would be like boxing, wrestling, karate, ect............but i couldnt tell ya how that even works cause i never watch those events during the olympics.

Yeah i remember in the mid 90s in Japan they had tag-team Shoot Wrestling. Really retarded, still kind of interesting, but this is back when they were trying to jump on the Rings/Pancrase bandwagon before Rings went out of business and before Pancrase went full MMA rules.

I figured you guys would get a kick out of this. The idea behind the format is to give it a more “Bushido-style” and Sumo-style raw fighting feel. Check out how the fighters dressed to fight in the Octagonal-style dohyo. The rules are: up to three rounds (R1 & R2 three minutes each, R3 two minutes), knock your opponent out of the inside mat twice and you win, or you can win by KO/submission/stoppage.

This is Satoru Sayamas new tournament SeiKendo hes trying to get going. If you dont know who Satoru is hes the original Tiger Mask Japanese masked wrestler and the founder of Japans famous Shooto organization due to the fact that him and Akira Maeda hated each other during there pro-wrestling days and ended up going seperate ways forming there own orgs... Sayama started Shooto and Maeda started Rings fighting Networks. As I mentioned in my post above Rings is now gone and Shooto is still running strong. I just think its interesting that this guy keeps trying to push the evolution of the sport...unfortunately I dont think this will last long. This looks more dangerous than anything. just wait til someone takes a dive off that mat.

:exactly:

WEC 52 tonight...starts at 9 PM on Verses :clap :yess: :panic: I am sad to see the WEC go, but i'm glad the leauge/divisions are getting folded into the UFC.

it's a MUST WIN for Faber. If he wins the UFC will give him pretty much what ever he wants (within reason). if he loses, it would be his 4th loss in his last 6 fights :slap

He's turning into Jens Pulver. :lol

Damn.. I hope this isn't true but word is Bellator is in BIG financial trouble. And their investors might be pulling the plug soon (apparently they've been losing millions per show).

I heard that too...I also heard the Bellator exec saying their doing fine...just like Elite XC :lol

I hope Bellator does fold so Eddie Alvarez comes to the UFC, he's a serious prospect.
