yeah I saw this pic, but I didn't think he was that messed up that he'd be out for 6 months.

So, I think Brock's really lucky right now...even though he lost badly to Cain. You know he's a runner up for the UFC championship still. He's their biggest draw. Plus he just got a multi-million dollar offer from Vince McMahon to wrestle at WM17. In Lesnar's case, he could very well, end up replacing Carwin, taking on Roy Nelson on Jan. 1st, beating him, badly. Taking the WWE offer, get his ass whooped by the Undertaker (just for entertainment sake), "train" for the Mir III fight. Beat Mir, badly.

And then at that point, you'll have a new #1 contender, a humbled one, who probably won't run his mouth as much, and then the real fun begins. If he can't beat Cain the 2nd time, yeah, that's when he should consider going back to wrestling, but I wouldn't count out Brock just yet. He's got more going for him now, as a former champion, than when he was UFC champion. Plus for any of you who don't know, Carwin said on his personal blog that he has respect for Brock's accomplishments, despite what people say about him, and despite what differences he has with him, he agrees that Brock will return meaner (and hopefully skillful) than ever.

Lesnar CAN'T go do the WWE thing if he wants to be in the UFC, he'd lose a lot of what little respect he's earned up to now in the MMA world. I have no doubt he will be back in the octagon as soon as he's healed up.

Here's what MMA WEEKLY has to say:

UFC president Dana White confirmed the promotion did indeed make the offer, but that Aldo turned it down and opted to stay in the WEC for the time being.

“That is true,” he said. “Here’s the thing, Jose Aldo’s been talking about moving up to 155 pounds. Well, we had a slot and said, ‘alright, you want to move up to 155 pounds?’ and he said, ‘ah yeah, never mind.”

Aldo commented at the time that his managers and trainers opted to decline the fight at this time, and instead the world’s best featherweight will likely face another challenger at 145 pounds in January. The desire for Aldo to compete at 155 pounds has been talked about for months, and considering the Brazilian’s dominance at featherweight everyone is curious at just how well he would do at the next weight class up. White says the UFC will leave it up to Aldo as far as where he wants his career to go, but when the offer was made to go to 155 pounds this soon, it was just not the right time. Whether Aldo could potentially make that move in the next year is still up to him according to the UFC president.

“It depends on what this kid wants to do,” White said. “If he wants to stay in the WEC and defend that title, that’s cool. They were talking at one point about moving to 55, so we talked to him and said, ‘how’d you like to move to UFC’s 155-pound division and take on Kenny (Florian) and they turned it down.”

Maybe because he got choked out the last time they fought. I think this would be a boring fight IMO. Both are rebounding from recent losses and neither one of them seem to have their heads in the game.

Yes I know that. lol Also Penn will be fighting Hughes again. BJ has fought a few rematches in his career.

But there arent really any fighters in WEC that can challenge Aldo. I think he should move up to 155. But then again, he is one of the reasons people watch WEC.

lol Dana always starts a sentence with "Here’s the thing".

Also news:

UFC will have FOUR shows a year on Versus.

Also will defend title at UFC 125 in January.

Winner of Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis will fight the winner of Maynard and Edgar to unify the titles.

****ing. Awesome.

prolly, but the 135,145 guys will prolly all stay in tact. The WEC 155 division was only like 4,5 guys deep at most anyways.

Yeah, im glad there merging because it will be good for the fighters except for the guys who get cut, but at the same time, I actually liked WEC for what it was as a seperate org for smaller fighters.

Agreed. Even though I didnt know alot of the fighters names, the fights were usually enjoyable. People always complain about the events being boring and nothing happening. The smaller weight class means more energy, better fights, more money in Dana's fat ass wallet. :clap
