Once Koschek's orbital bone was broken in the first round, it was all over. Whatever game plan he had went right out the window.

But you have to give him a helluva lot of credit. He went 5 rounds with one of the best P4P fighters with one eye. It will probably be close to a year before he fights again depending on medical suspension, surgery, and recovery time.

And for everyone that hates Kos, thinks he's a dick, etc....that's his job. And GSP even praised him for it...Kos sold the fight more than anyone else on the card.

As for the best P4P discussion, the only doubts about GSP being #1 are in regards to his inability or unwillingness to finish fights. And that is why Aldo is in the discussion...he puts on a show and has the killer instinct, which it appears GSP is lacking.

of course, any punch is effective with those small gloves. GSP vs Shields might be the next match for him?? or maybe the winner of a Shields vs Finch? I would rather see GSP move up to 185 personally, but i would be interested to see if GSP could handle Shields grappling abilities and hopefully knock him out.

Yup. Hell Bob Sapp quit the second his orbital bone was broken/fractured vs. Mirko Cro Cop.

Aldo hasn't consistently fought the level of competition that GSP and Anderson Silva have though. Realistically, Aldo has only been in the P4P mix with his last 4 fights. That's it. GSP and A.Silva has been in the P4P mix consistently since 2006. So I still have A.Silva and GSP ahead of Aldo.

i hope BJ loses, thats not a fight i would be interested at all in seeing again, but i think if GSP beats Shields, hes pretty much cleared the division, and theres nothing left to prove but go to 185.

It was such a one sided fight, while entertaining for a bit it wasnt as spectacular as the Muay Thai clinic that Thiago put on. Just my 2 pesos

Indeed. There wasn't enough action or exchanges from Koscheck to justify FOTN.

~~Oh, did Koscheck break his toe or rip a toenail off?? He kept looking at it in one round like it was bothering him, and I swear I saw him rip something off his foot in one of the rounds.

Lesnar vs Big Nog is a bad matchup for Nog at this point IMO, same for Cro Cop.

In other news, I just seen that it looks like Bellator's deal with Fox fell thru Im guessing because now there saying its a 3 year deal with Mtv 2 for live events and even off season events. As long as I get to see live events Im cool with whoever picks it up.

Remember Thursday is the last WEC, should be some really good fights as well. Just a reminder fight fans.
