And Strikeforce continues with their idiotic ways.
The SF HW title will NOT be on the line in their makeshift GP tournament. Instead.. the winner will get a newly created GP title and then a title shot.
Um.. so what if Overeem loses then?
Yeah.. he retains his title then faces the winner of the GP. Makes perfect sense. In crazy land. Just like Gomi when he'd lose non-title fights back in PRIDE FC. What a joke.
Then the other fishy aspects: They plan on having a 4th judge at ringside scoring the bout independently to determine who advances in the event of a draw. Maybe it's just me.. but I can see Fedor, Overeem, Barnett (if he even fights) and Arlovski ALL benefiting from this if they happen to fight to a draw. Because somehow I don't see that supposedly independent judge voting against Strikeforce's favorites.
Other thing is, there's also going to be 2 alternate bouts for replacements in case a fighter gets injured. Which is definitely a good idea. But NOW Coker says they'll have a panel that will determine who advances if a winning fighter gets injured: One of the alternates OR the fighter who lost. Huh!? The fighter that just lost.. will be considered as a replacement to advance!? Why even have bouts to determine alternates then!?
SF = assbackwards sometimes.

When a champion loses non-title or not...the champion lost and in my opinion is no longer champion.
Phil Baroni signed with Titan Fighting Championship, whatever the hell that is!? Glad he's employed.
I don't care, I like the NYBA. I'll always remember that 18 second destruction of Dave Menne where afterwards Baroni hopped on the fence like "I'm the best, EVA!!!".
I could care less about belts I just wanna see the fights happen,
As far as Borni, I never liked him. Thought he was a "C" level fighter at best. UFC had to let him go.
UFC Fight Night 24 (March 26)
Tito Ortiz vs. Lil Nog
Tito is on a 4 fight losing streak and hasn't had a win since 2006. And that was over Ken Shamrock. After he gets raped by Lil Nog will he just retire or will he get cut and sign with a smaller org? I think he could actually be LHW champ in Strikeforce.
Well Tito could always mimic Bader and win like that I guess.
Tito's power probably ranges a slight notch above Griffin's.
5 year old girl's fists > Griffin's fists
