the 145lb division is by far the weakest imo. I don't see Aldo having any issues clearing that division at the moment. I would say the HW division is right in the middle as far as competition with LW, LHW, WW at the top.

Agreed. Outside of Aldo and a few others there really isn't anyone. Grispi lost recently, Hominick isn't on Aldo's level (imo) and falls perfectly into Aldo's gameplan, Poirier is a prospect, but honestly Chad Mendes is the only threat to Aldo. Once Mendes test Aldo's wrestling there really won't be any fights for him.

HW has a lot more people than FW.

On a sidenote Anthony Johnson made weight!!! :clap:clap

h aha ha, i was wondering if he was going to make weight since hes coming off a long lay off.

Yea layoff + the fact that he cuts almost 40+ pounds + his manager saying he's going to start fighting at LHW.

There is one picture of him standing by Pat Barry and he makes Pat look small. Even though Pat is a small HW he still is 5'11" 250 lbs. :lecture So a WW should never look bigger than a HW lmao. Now AJ is going to LHW even though the perfect weight class for him is MW.:slap:slap:slap

Just my opinion but I would not use the word "easy" to describe Lesnar's MMA career thus far. Guarantee you won't find many guys out there who've faced the same level of competition as Lesnar in their first 7 professional fights. And that includes Fedor, Big Nog and Cro Cop.

Point taken. Easy was probably the wrong word choice. I'd just like to see him —after his problems with Carwin and his devastating loss to Cain— fight someone a little lower on the chain than the #1 contender. Doesn't sit right that he gets this opportunity on the heels of looking like crap against his last two opponents, and like you said, JDS isn't going to be a pick-nick. He should have to prove himself. If he manages to beat JDS, his title shot will be warranted.

Yea Brock should have to get a couple wins under his belt to even get a #1 contender shot. But he is Brock Lesnar and Dana knows he brings in the big bucks so this was not unexpected. Lmao looking like ____ vs Carwin, then loosing to Cain badly, then beating JDS looks better than losing to Mir by KNEEBAR and beating Herring by UD. He went 1-1 to get a title shot so it's only right for Dana to stick to that pattern.:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

Btw I think JDS is going to beat him.

Brock's a joke. If he loses he'll be 5-3, then he might as well be cut. He won't beat Cain or Carwin in a rematch. Unless Brocks standup greatly improves I see JDS by KO. Big Country is a better fight for Brock.

Brock definitely is extremely overrated. I think Alistair Overeem is overrated too but definitely has the skill to prove me wrong. I just wanna see his chin tested. The Werdum fight plays right into his game plan. Werdum did submit him back in Pride but the new "Horse meat - K1 winning" Overeem is a hole new monster. Right now I have The Reem around 10th in the world at HW but by no means is Velasquez vs The Reem the best fight at HW.

Fights on tonight at Spike. Phil Davis is gonna get so much needed exposure to casual fans!!

Glad its on Spike. I dont think lil Nog is going to win. Mr. Wonderful is going to win by Hadouken.

I'm more sold on Brock than I am on Overeem at HW in MMA.

Brock beat and finished Couture (#3 HW), Mir (#2 HW) and Carwin (#3 HW) and defended his title twice before losing to Cain (#2 HW).

The only ranked/remotely credible HW Overeem has fought since moving to HW full-time is Rogers (who was overrated to begin with). And like 99% of Overeem's HW opponents, Rogers was coming off a loss.

He's means at HW. He seemed fine in K-1 against HW strikers. Even the one loss he has against Badr Hari he was rocked but not out on his feet or anything. Never understood that stoppage!?

I just wanna see him face some credible HW's in MMA. Sorry but Duffee, Fujita, Thompson, etc. aren't credible. :lol

Yea thats what I want too. Werdum is a good start and a legit top 10 HW. If Alistair wins the tournament then his hype might be more warranted. Until then he's borderline top ten.

How much did Reem weigh for that Kharitonev fight!? Was never really clear on that. I read before he was at LHW (like the Werdum fight) but I've also read he was at HW!? Obviously he was nowhere near his Ubereem stature but he looked a lot bigger in that fight than say against Liddell.

Start this thing already. I'll be drunk before it starts up. Oh wait, that's not a bad thing.
