Don't count Shogun out, i'm not a fan of his but people have to understand that things happen outside of the octagon. Maybe he got hurt before the fight or was sick. He recently had surgery so that was probably a factor.

I could see that fight going anyway standing up. Lyoto is a extremly akward fighter, Rashad will have the power and speed i think. If Lyoto has a good chin i think he will win. Rashad will most likely look to set up his right hand like in the Forrest Griffin fight. It took him 2 rounds to realize he would have to take a kick and counter. He wont be able to counter Lyoto because he's quick in and out. It's the best way to test Evans, give him a fighter that no one has been able to handle yet, both undefeated. If Evans wins he's truly for real and can handle almost any type of fighter, if Lyoto wins he will prove his technique can work (even though he already did, people still think it sucks). I would say expirience/technique would be Lyoto and Power/Speed would be Evans.

Ive never seen Hughes be anything but gracious even when he got the ^^^^ beat out of him.
I swear some of you guys take the trash talking that fighters do so personally. It's like theyre talking about your mothers or something. You guys dont realize most of it is part of creating hype for the fight? No one wants to see two guys who love each other fight....most people want to see two guys go in there and want to tear each other's heads off.

I wouldnt call that being a b*itch. everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and everyone goes into a fight with a game-plan. You have every right to think he is a b*tch, but imo your reason for thinking so is kind of silly. And imo again, comparing guida to hughes is kind of grasping at straws.
Well, if your strength is clinging on to someone for 15 min and your weakness is standing and going toe to toe, maybe you should be in the WWE and not the UFC....As for clay and matt, they are very much alike in the way they fight, well not fight but wrestle....Both of them got some bichassness in them.....

I have seen Hughes GnP and submit many a people and he's a former champion. I havent seen Guida GnP anyone...?

I dont mind the grappling at all, but I would like to see them use more GnP or more sub attempts,, well let me take that back, Matt does use the GnP more than Guida but still, just waaaay to much wrastling for me, I would much rather see a 30 sec. KO than 15 minutes of man groping...You cant tell me you where excited by watching the Guida/Diaz fight this Sat....That was one of the most boring fight I have ever seen...

No I thought Guida/Diaz was a boring ass fight. Both fighters did just enough to stay in the fight...no one went all out.
There's a difference between holding [Guida] and strategic grappling [Hughes]. We can agree to disagree but I think Hughes is a way better fighter than Guida would ever be, and Hughes has the main events, belt, and draws the crowds to prove it.
He may have all those akalades, but that all just lasted while evryone figured out how to beat him... Just DEFEND THE TAKEDOWN against Hughes and you got yourself a easy victory cuz you an I know he cant throw blows to save his life...
So it's safe to assume that you consider Royce Gracie a b*tch too?
