Silva vs. Bonner was a last minute replacement match put together to save 153. If not for that, they never would've fought.

And Jones vs. Sonnen.. that's pure irony. Because now that it's official I see the same people who wanted it when Hendo got hurt (the same people who accused Jones of ducking Sonnen) now complaining about it since it's official.

I thought the freakshow match ups PRIDE put on were garbage but I didn't hate on the company for giving the fans what they wanted. Japan liked and still likes that crap.

So when you take ANY little thing the UFC does and blow it up 1000x over just to proclaim how much you hate that company it's hilarious. Because you've NEVER liked them. Hell, you blame the UFC for decisions they have no control over i.e. decisions fighters make. But you're 100% unbiased right? GTFO.

I am unbiased. Do you order any PPV's? I do if the card is good enough. And PRIDE who cares? Has nothing to do with it. Chael gets a Title shot with out ever winning a fight in the LHW division. Nope. Weidman was recovering from elbow surgery and Anderson Silva wasn't in training at the time which is why he only wanted a LHW fight (no weight cut). So that fight was never an option.

I've always been a huge Fedor fan. I started watching Pride FC in 2001. For me, I loved the spectacle of the shows and the fights were fir the most part great. The had the majority of the best fighters in the world until around 2006. I remember Dana, to his credit, sending over Chuck and Ricco to fight in Pride. Ricco should have won the Nog fight but the judges jobbed him. Fedor, when he came in the scene, was a terminator. I'm also a UFC fan but I'll admit I pull for the old Pride guys. That era though is just about over. I remember fighters wouldn't even know who they were fighting one to two weeks before a show.

yeah Im a big Fedor fan and I agree, the spectacle was back in his hay day. If I remember correctly he fought in Rings and then debuted at Pride 21. He was a great for what he brought to the table. Like alot of MMA guys, the sport evolved, guys got bigger and stronger, he did neither. Was a great fighter, now hes done, no longer even relevant.

Anyone who hates AS is just crazy. You can hate the guy but you cant deny the fact that he is the GOAT. Simple as that the guys a machine.
