The Anderson Fan inside me is starting to get nervous for the upcoming weekend. The media and fighters picking Weidman has me irrationally worried. Either way, he's had a pretty amazing run.

the guys that have been saying Weidman is the best equipped to take out Silva are obviously just hyping up the fight......cause he's not.

I mean obviously anything is possible.. so it's not impossible that Weidman could pull off the upset. It's just not very likely. He doesn't possess a single tool in his arsenal that Silva hasn't already seen from other guys who were better than him.

Not to mention Silva has faced numerous other strikers/wrestlers/BJJ black belts in the UFC. Yet Weidman, who isn't better in any individual aspect or combined for that matter is supposed to be the guy who stream rolls Silva!? Makes no sense. It's getting like Fedor, where people just wanna see the guy lose and are willing to back whoever fights him next.

Totally agree. People seen him get a fluke win over Mark and now all of a sudden hes a "bad ***". That dude is so over rated. His striking is terrible, his GnP is terrible, really the only thing hes bringing is his wrestling ability and I really dont see Anderson having a problem stopping that.

The size and reach diff is big. Bones is much younger. I'd imagine Bones takes him down and wins with elbows. If Bones stands then its game on. I'd be pulling hardcore for Silva.

I think Jones and GSP have the best wrestling in mma. Maybe not pure, competition style wrestling, just in mma. Jones has never been taken down and he showed he can outwrestle one of the best. You add his great striking and sub game, he is the best all around fighter in the UFC. Guy has never even been taken down. Silva vs Bones would be the biggest fight in the history of mma if it ever happened, but Jones would be the first guy to be favored against Silva. It really could be a once in a lifetime type fight if it happened.
