Congratulations, yeah it seems stupidly easy but time consuming.
Are you kidding me? The PS3 U1 was easily the HARDEST of all the games- too many enemies, clunky aiming and stuttering framerates makes it such a pain the butt to plat. They massively improved the game on the Nate collection but U1 is still the hardest of the bunch thanks to some really tricky parts in Crushing (Chapter 4, anyone?)
I could get the plat for U2 and U3 in my sleep compared to the original. You must have some mad gaming skills to bring up such a notion.
Once you get past Chapter 4 it's not too bad. I'll admit on all 3 of my completed Crushing runs (pre-trophy PS3, post-trophy patch PS3, and PS4) that Chapter 4 has caused me a lot of issues. Mainly because there are certain areas where the waves keep coming and the checkpointing isn't too nice. (Just after you shoot the padlock off, and from the plane-wreck towards the end of the chapter.
The hardest part of Chapter 5 (arguably the hardest part of the entire game) can be exploited by triggering the enemies before dropping down into the water. (Go back outside and blow up the barrels triggering the music). The sniper heavy section just before the library can be largely avoided by gunning it to the library (take the start slow and snipe, switch to shotgun, shoot from hip and run like hell to trigger the cutscene in the library).. The church sections can be taken cautiously from a distance (snipers first, retreat back down the stairs in the second church level... but you have to be prepared for the checkpoint and the wave from the opposite direction, and not run out of ammo or decent weapons)
I say PS3 over PS4 purely because you don't have to bother with the speed trophies. Whether the game is slightly harder on Crushing on PS3 for technical reasons? possibly. It's been a while since I've played it on PS3 on Hard or Crushing and I did have about 14 or 15 completed runs of both versions finished before I attempted Crushing on PS4. My first Crushing run pre the trophies was run #4, so yes it was far harder for me at the time.. For some reason also I felt ammo was more generous on PS4? I recall having to mix the rifles and shotguns a lot on PS3 just to have ammo..
There are a lot of tricks once you are familiar with the levels and what weapons drop where.. The game really does take a lot of patience. Avoid duck and cover on Crushing. Use peek from cover instead. Focus on 9mm headshots. It's such a short game. But it's much less of a 'shootery shooter' than the sequels. You pick the bad guys off and look for the safe spots to hide. The sequels you tend to shoot clips of ammo and grab more ammo or another weapon more. Plus you can rely on friendly AI to help a lot more too.
Funny thing is, on all 3 games there have been sections I have dreaded on both consoles, and the sections I struggled with on one generation I didn't necessarily on the other. Uncharted 2 I had no difficulty really at all on PS4 because I was so much more experienced with the game. I hated all 3 boss fights in Uncharted 2 on PS3. From the village onwards there were many difficult sections for me on PS3, but I faired pretty well on PS4.. Even the bit with Elena, the snipers and armoured guys crossing the bridge. Uncharted 3 there are always a couple of bits I hate. The ballroom shootout is never fun. The one part which really took me a lot of deaths on PS4 was after the cutscene with the dummy of Sully. My own fault, I should have conserved grenade launchers from the ballroom and taken it with me. The dust storm level with the PAK-80s caused me grief on PS3, but did it very quickly on PS4.
I suppose with all games the more you play, the more you learn. My completed run rate is twice UDF to Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 I just have 3 runs on PS3 and PS4.. And Golden Abyss just 3 runs with a lot of Chapter Selecting. Actually, there is an annoying game to Plat. Golden Abyss. Vita thumbsticks are not good for action games where you die in a couple of shots, and those swipe boss fights sucked bad.
