Those Dewbacks kick off a heck of a lot of sweat man. That's bodily fluids baby!!

Banthas sweat....Dewbacks perspire.

It's gross just the same.:banana

Came out pretty neat. Would you think the effect is good enough to weather future troops with that method, or is back to Bantha poodoo paint...or just Bantha poodoo (assuming you can acquire some on the black market)?

Cheers Darth

He's still WIP at the moment, I think there is too much sand and it has clumped together too much for a "Tatooine" effect. As Crimsonbob pointed out it looks too wet.
I've got two more spare medi bodies and another two Hasbro Sandtroopers, so I think I'll try one with just paint and the other like this but a bit less.
Anyhow, well see how this one ends up with a bit more work. I think it's s technic that's worth pursuing, just needs refining!

I think its the glue that makes it shiny more than anything. Maybe less is the way to go like u said. Anyway dont panic theres nothing a good scraping and a can of white spray cant fix if u decide u dont like it :peace

Cheers Darth to you as well. Props to you for being a pioneer!! Get that process nice and easy so us newbs can have crack at it. It looks good from NY. Granted it's a distance, but my eyes are pretty sharp! I did spot that renegade black particle remember.

Err... nope! Black market don't have any... Try the brown market.

Are you gonna make fun now cuz I was looking for some?

Looks pretty good DG.

I just started my latest custom, a Han Solo in Hoth gear. Should be interesting.

I sure hope it is okay to post customs here instead of the custom section. I dont want to upset anyone.:D

I just PM'd Dave to ask if we should have a "Custom Sticky" in the SW Section.

My thoughts are... Start the thread in the Custom area and stick a link in the Chop Shop.

That way Only one custom thread stays on page 1 but everyone here can access the SW stuff without trawling through loads of unrelated threads.

Don't know if it's a perfect solution but we could give it a try...

EDIT: Dave is obviously looking into this issue - so I think we should wait until he makes a decision. (Hopefully a Custom sub-section of Star Wars Area!)

Just a random question for patrons of the Chop Shop. Does anyone know how often, if at all, does Toy Anxiety get restocked on the SS SW stuff? I'm sure timing wise, it can be pretty random, but if it never happens, or if it's so infrequent, I'll go another way.

For that matter, is there another place that parts out SW? I've got a couple nice military sites saved, but there are some definite SW components I'm scoping out and haven't found an alternative short of buying the figs and parting them out myself to recoup some of the $$$.

Thanks Freaks

No idea I'm afraid

I've only ordered a couple of times but the first time I tried to order 3 sets of the Sandtrooper Shoulder ammo packs, there were only two in stock and haven't seen any more since.

But then yesterday I snagged 4 Stormtrooper helmets in one go. Go figure!

Toy Anxiety seem really good but stuff comes in and goes out really quickly, I only know on one frequent part seller on ebay which is yoshiishi and he is fantastic and really reliable. I also buy from sunnystudio and that guy is great too.

I have also bought from goodshipped but I would recommend him at all. He is really bad a communication and always promises but never delivers. I bought a head from him. It never arrived... he kept saying be patient. But nothing eventually he said he would refund me in 24 hours.... still waiting

goodshipped used to be really good but his prices are quite high compared to other sellers as well nowadays.

Oh ive started spraying my stormie black i'd like to finish him tomorrow :joy

i think if you're looking for older releases Toy Anxiety is unlikely to get them in again.

Ahh so do they only really part new stuff. That would explain why I dont see much new stuff for other figures.

CBob... looking forward to seeing that trooper

Toy anxiety are great but the postage overseas can sting a bit, they are damn good if u need a replacement part though cant deny that.

I ordered another stormie to replace that 1 cos ive been so tempted to do a shadow trooper for ages, i couldn't resist it anymore. I hope i get my camera tomoz so i can post half decent piccies yay!

i think some times toy anxiety will break down an older figure for parts if they either find a good deal on a box figure or they have special demand for something. but i think that happens rarely.

Here is a quick shot of my Hoth Han Solo. I just started on him today. Bespin han head dremmeled into a Hasbro hat which I cut up. The Bespin Han head isnt that bad really when most of it is not seen.:D

I then cut most of the fur off the edge of the hood. I am in the process of working on the sleeves and hands. Not even close to being done obviously, but I know how you guys like WIP pictures even though mine are not the best.

more pictures to follow. You guys got any ideas on doing goggles?? That might be the toughest part I think.

Thats looking great Chaka, the hood looks really nicely done and the white gloves have come out looking fantastic. Once the coat is sorted he will look great.

What needs doing with the goggles?
