Saw it enjoyed it; I assume this ties into the Dark Tower series some how?!?!? doesn't all of King's books tie back to that series?

Actually it doesn't really connect to the Dark Tower. Unless there is like a very small line in the book that I missed. The main events aren't Dark Tower related anyway.

I just hope this isn't another show where it just leaves you hanging and you have to imagine what happened. Nothing is really explained. I hate that stuff. It's lazy writing and King has done it too.

Don't remind me. :(

You're the one who reminded me. Still pisses me off the way they try to explain it. :lecture

LOST is still one of the greatest shows of all time.

Personally, I'm glad they didn't spoon feed us an explanation of the entire mythology. The show felt real enough that I "believe" there are answers to every question even if I can only speculate about many of them. I still look forward to a bluray re-watch with LOST Encyclopedia in hand. :)

I said "try". :wink1:

Here one explanation someone wrote. He 'LOST' me by the second page.

Pretty good analysis. I only skimmed it, and I'm not as critical as him, but many good points.

A few of those points are so obvious that I really hope no one is confused about them (polar bears, 'they were dead the whole time').

Sounds like the same flack that Peter Jackson gets for LotR and The Hobbit. Why people think movies and tv shows based on books has to be word for word like the book.

I'm a big fan of King, and I understand what he's saying about the changes to The Dome, but he sure did hate what Kubrick did to The Shining. :lol

The pilot was good, I'll check the show out.

Well Kubrick did make possibly the best horror move in cinema.....

Absolutely... But the mini-series that was made back in the 90s, that was faithful to the book, was meh.

Just watched the first episode. Ugh!! The acting was terrible. The story seems really cool and all I was thinking was that I wish FX or HBO had picked up the project instead.

I might watch a couple more to see if I can get into it more but I had a hard time enjoying it.

I don't understand this hate for the acting. The only one that bothered me was that young kid with the big lips. He is annoying.

I think it's just alright so far. It definitely feels like by the numbers Stephen King, so I expect to be disappointed by the ending.

Watching it right now and I agree with you this is very Stephen King.

King can build a fairly good story but it seems he lacks the ability to end it with the same kind of build up.

I love IT, but that ending was WTF.
