Don't know if this has been post already or not, but I just stumbled upon this earlier. I really like the series, and the 3rd one is my favorite yet. This is supposed to be in 3-D like most of next years movies.

As for me, I'd really like another prequel that shows the big war between the Vamps and the Lycans. I enjoyed the third movie's perspective from the Lycans and I'd like a good mix between both sides in this new movie.

"Update: B-D has learned that Screen Gems will release the film in theaters January 21, 2011. Sony Screen Gems must have been happy with the whopping $91m worldwide box office for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, their prequel to the vampires vs werewolf franchise created by Len Wiseman back in 2003, as the studio is moving forward with a fourth film aimed to hit theaters in January 2011, reports Shocktillyoudrop. To continue a smart trend in Hollywood, the fourth film will be arriving in theaters in 3-D (you can't bootleg 3-D, can ya'?). No word on if Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra, Kate Beckinsale or Scott Speedman will return to the franchise, but it's probably safe to say Patrick Tatopoulos' company will be behind the FX again."

great news, but i certainly hope that Kate Beckinsale has a bigger part in this one :naughty, though i enjoyed the third installment i certainly missed her in it.:naughty

I would havce liked to see Rhona Mitra and Kate Beckinsale in the movie together. unfortunately Rhona got torched in the 3rd so maybe they will go back to when Kate was first turned.

I enjoy the series... Just watched the Third the other day and it made me want to see the other two. Here's to hoping they don't screw it up. Maintaining a certain cast has been key to this.

oh i'm sure that they saved some of her blood and then they could clone her, or something like that:rolleyes:

i would like to see more about how William came into existence, we didnt even get him at all in the 3rd one..............so a movie based on William and his brother i think would make a good movie as another prequel.........i dont know what else they could do with a sequel to Underworld 2

I would like to see more on Amelia and you're right about William. I would also like to see more about Corvinus. Wasn't he like the very first or something?

I enjoyed the third one the most and like the idea about keeping the storyline in the past. I agree that if they can touch on the story about the Corvinus family it would bring a fresh perspective to the movie that we havent yet seen. I say theres more story to tell. :rock

Alexandar Corvinus is the first immortal, yes. I don't know how they'd pick up with a sequel to part 2. That is still my fav of the trilogy.

I like these flicks alot but I'm worried that they'll start sucking. Which will happen with the more sequels they make.

Well 2 was pretty bad, but I think 3 redeemed the franchise completely. I would love to see Kate and Rhona together though. Depending on where they go with it, could be pretty interesting.

I still haven't seen 3, but you think it was that much better than 2? I really enjoyed 2 ALOT and didn't think the sequel would match up. Now, I'm really tempted to go check out "Rise of the Lycans."

I liked all three Underworld movies and I'm really looking forward to see number 4! :rock :rock :rock :rock

I hope Kate Beckinsale is in it and I'd like to see it set in the past...maybe during the peak of the Vampire/Lycan War. :D

Even without Selene, it held it's own? I just couldn't wrap my head around an Underworld movie without Selene. :monkey2

yes i was truely disappointed when i watched the whole thing only to see her in the last 10 seconds:monkey2:monkey2
still a great movie though, and i thought both 1 & 2 movies where great.
SO THERE DAVE............:lol:lol

yeah 1 and 2 were better imo, but Rhona is still pretty hot in her own right, so that made 3 good, but not better

I thought 3 seemed to short. Someone said something about it seemed like it was the middle 90 minutes in what should have been a longer film.

Does anyone else think that Michael Sheen (sp?) did a great job as Lucian? I didn't really get into his character in the first film but he just seemed like this creepy guy but I thought he did a great job in 3. I mean he's this little British guy and he's the head of the Lycans? Thought he played the part very well:bow
