I thought it was on par with the 2nd one and not as good as the third, which I really liked. The Lycans almost looked like old Harryhausen stop motion animation in some points though.
I dig the mythology they're creating here and Selene as a character, but they desperately need better stories.

Saw this and enjoyed it - if I had one complaint, it was that this is clearly part of a new trilogy or whatnot, and as such, had a pretty abrupt ending

Saw it today. Overall I liked it. Story was decent, though expectedly lacking. Action was awesome and I loved the Hulk wolf.

Was he recasted? It looked like him in the film. Someone mentioned what was in this film was Archive footage and/or a digitized version of him ala, Jeff Bridges in Tron. Any info on that?
The flashback was him but the couple 'real time' shots were a different dude

I meant the boat scenes. Huh...I guess I'll have to pay better attention next time. Looked a lot like him.

Went to go see it with my gf and we both enjoyed it. We went in expecting an action movie an it delivered. True the story wasn't as complex or in dept as the previous films but the fight sequences were kick___!
Just saw this one... it was OK, but forgettable...
I'll stick to the first 3... much better characters, actors and EFX...
I really hated how they basically dismissed everything that could've happened between 2 and 4...

The whole purge story would've made a better movie IMO...

Agreed. I was hoping this would be what we saw in the movie. I liked the
Super-Lycan monster, but seemed kind of cheesy at the end of the movie.

Not really. Both were on par. Uninteresting characters, some decent action, but really bland.
