Yea Friends do help friends. Not internet aqquantinces.
PM one of your pals on here and ask if you can stay with them for a few weeks until you can find a job because you just got laid off. I talk to people like Teddy everyday on the forums here, I wouldn't dare ask him such a thing.
I'm not so delusional or desperate for company that I don't know the differance between the people I see in real life everyday and who are actually there for me for things like dealing with cancer, or the loss of a loved one, and just the internet.
Keep thinking you and Josh are pals though, thats gonna work for you.
I didn't know that the internet was a barrier to friendship. I will note that and suggest that the definition be updated.
Not entirely sure what being laid off or asking to stay with someone a few weeks [I've actually had friends I met online, well before Deckard told me that was outlawed, that offered to put me up on vacations and on trips] has to do with getting our heads & figures back but ooooook.... You see a friend, is not someone that you would ask such a thing of, but someone who would offer it unto you. But, hey, if you're not a friendly person thats cool too I guess.
And I don't see a difference between the people who were there for me when my sister and aunt passed away last year, or my mother two years before that. Two of which happened to pass as results of cancer by the way. The support from my friends on line was most welcomed.
I pity you in a way that you fear friendships from anyone that you have not met face to face.
As for my thinking Josh and I are pals, or not, is rather irrelevant. Josh no longer has my items. Carl does. I admittedly have never spoken or dealt with him. And he is online. He therefore must be considered an enemy and a slimy ********* because he has my things and hasn't sent them. That better.
<sheesh> that little yellow bus they ride on must be
soooo crowded.
More to the point and those with thicker skulls:
-This thread really isn't about Josh
-This thread really isn't about who defended him and who did not
-This thread really isn't about whether friendship can be found online or is restricted to that made by human contact
At least it shouldn't be.
It should be about the people waiting getting their items from whovere has them at present time.
No name calling.
No mud slinging.
Because all that certainly seems to have helped up to now.
And I didn't realize posting a response was "flipping out".
Deckard, you are obviously an internet information god. Let's see:
No friends on the internet
Posting = flipping out
can you start your own thread with all these new rules and defintions so we all don't aggravate you again.
Yep, that liitle bus must be
sooooo crowded.
