I think the missing paint at the nose is called "glare"

Nah, this blow-up posted earlier is pretty convincing:

But either way, the sculpting is there... just a bit of paint is missing.

Don't worry I agree... that's what I said in my ealier post. If this is the worst thing about the figure I think we'll all be just fine :lol

Despite the missing paint, which can be added with minimal effort if you're that picky, the piece is a thing of beauty (hence why I picked up two Exclusives). People keep complaining about the shape of the helmet but comparing it to the actual screenshot in the background, I don't see it.

I'd hate for this to turn into another TDK thread where people in their harsh nature, critique the hell out of an overall greatly sculpted piece set at a more than reasonable price, and embarrass the collecting majority by being overcritical snobs.

I pre-ordered two exclusives and one regular. Don't care much for Utapaus, but I need some ARC fodder. Not sure if SS will make any ARCs, since everyone seems to hate the EU.

Not everybody. Just a majority of those who post in the SW threads. Ventress sold well enough in both the PF and 12" to prove otherwise. There's definitely a market for the EU. It's funny though how they hate on the EU yet argue that considerably less significant characters, like the Tonnika Sisters, get their own action figure. "OOOOH! She had a total of .05 seconds of screen time!" or Greedo who existed as nothing more than a 60 second plot point that was largely irrelevant vs. being the almost lover/apprentice of Darth Tyranus and arguably the main Jedi antagonist throughout the comics and the new animated series.

Now that Medicom and SSC are filling out the clones, I'm planning on remaking some of my Hasbro ROTS clones in to ARCs.

wasnt aimed at you G, just those who are overly critical over that tiny little bit of paint that...oh, when its on the shelf surrounded by the others you probebly wont notice :)

Cool, just didn't want to get lumped in with the overly critical :lol

Wonder what would look better standing behind General Kenobi. 2 of these guys or a mix of troopers? (or what troopers would fit better?)

The shape of the chin area is more glaringly obvious than a speck of paint (which is very easily fixed).

It popped right out for me and a few other people, too (whether they noticed exactly what was odd or not). Speaking for myself, it's not like I go looking for inaccuracies. If there's a something big, it just pops out. Not my fault I have a photographic memory.

If you can't see the difference between SSC's sculpt and the actual movie clone, don't start putting those of us who do down.

I love it. You have people who get critical on the piece because it's inaccurate, then the people who are overly protective and can't see anything wrong or don't care start insulting them!

:stooge

They aren't perfect, but they are a hell of a lot better then what we saw with the PF Vader & Boba, If either of those sculpts where on 1/6th scale I would not buy,
The missing paint in the visor isn't too much of an issue, its easy to paint and that little touch up will make a suprising difference once done, the aerators throw me off the most, but in general the overall shape of the helmet looks good.
Ohh and it's good to see armour that looks like it could fit a human body inside

So help me to see. What's so glaringly horrible :)rolleyes:) that it's preventing you from buying it? And don't say "the lower portion." That's like someone asking me what city I live in and me saying, "one by the ocean." Be specific. The helmet looks pretty much to scale when compared to the actual screen shot behind it.
