So help me to see.

I didn't say it was horrible, nor did I say I wasn't buying it. I already said exactly what was wrong along with a side-by-side comparison. Along with the rest of the comparisons, here's a better one.

If you can't see it, :dunno.

I'm not trying to make you or anyone for that matter not like it. I was just commenting on it. The comparisons are to back up what I said.

There are those of us who do care for accuracy. Sometimes I think the inaccuracies are acceptable other times it's not. If those of us who do see it and are vocal about it and by being heard it gets changed to be more accurate, what's wrong with that?

If you don't care about accuracy and only that it looks like a clone or you just don't mind the inaccuracies, it shouldn't bother you one bit that it's changed to become more like the actual source.

Ummm...gross.

Hmmm......it almost looks like they took the digital file of the helmet and 'pinched' the bottom, turning the rectangular piece under the mouth into a square, also altering the lower visor where it attaches to the mouth, making it thinner than the digital prop. Not to mention bringing the round mic tips closer together....:monkey2

I wonder, since this is a proto. Will or can SS change/fix the helmet in the final product, or is that it? I know the paint apps can be changed, but will they create a whole new helmet?

There's really no excuse for inaccuracies like this when Sideshow took 3 years to make them.

Wow! It does. Was gonna say looking at the pics it is a bit off but looking at it looks very similar.

Glad to know I'm not the blind leading the blind here. :D It makes sense for companies like Master Replicas to all have identical helmets since they use one mold with several paint schemes. Same with the Koto. Even that "rendered" clone a few pages back could just be a generic clone model with the Utapau paint scheme for approval purposes, etc. That's why I suggested looking at the source, the actual screenshot from the film used as the background for the clone promo.

Thats all possible. Its possible too that SS made a mistake. The thing is with SW there always seems to be 1k different ways for these clones to look. The actual product looks fantastic to me and I'm glad to have it coming.

Personally, its not about being anal. Its more about paying 100.00 (with shipping and in my case taxes) for inaccuracy. I still pre-ordered the figure though.

yeah i can understand that but for me i want the best out there given whatever flaws they have but the squeaky wheel gets the oil so in hopes SS reads our threads keep telling them and maybe it'll be closer to perfection by the time it ships.

Still getting this, despite the minor inaccuracies on the helmet.
I hope the joints will not be as loose as those on General Kenobi.

Hey, certainly looks like anal retention to me. $100 is NOTHING to pay for a high-end action figure. I'd rather pay $100 for Sideshow's version than $20 for Hasbro's Neanderthal clone or $190+ for Medicom's overpriced "little boy in armor" versions. You're griping about it and sithlord's passing on it over a VERY MINOR error (if it even is an error) shown on the prototype.

100.00 as a LOT for some of us. I bought the figure. Who is griping? I just made the observation that the figure is not accurate. That is all. Did I say I would pass on it or that the figure sucked, NO.

The good news is that producing variants of this will be easy...

So I expect to see them churned out every month or so...
