Yes, and that would be a shame, because some of us are making very valid and constructive points... without the use of personal attacks.this may be on the verge of being locked
Hopefully Neil will just clean up the mess.

The guy called me annoying bastard first (I don't know why on earth he would call me that.)
I just returned the favor.

thenammagazine- I'm just going to tell you that you are fighting a losing battle. There are some no matter how much you say there are mistakes but..... You're going to get labeled a SS Apologist, Super Duper Fan, or whatever wonderfully creative name they can come up with. Its ultra lame but with some what do you expect.
Again, I think those points have already been made to death. Valid? I think it's already been validated by Shatterer...repeatedly. Constructive means building up something. Reposting pics of the helmet when there've already been a good 20 shots is redundant. At this point, it's just rubbing salt in the wound and as I said before:
And now,here's their leader.
I'm not a "Sideshow Super Duper Fan" at all. That's what you nitpicky vultures use as a counter argument when you've got nothing else to say. And I don't think everything they put out is golden (check my post history). I just think the helmet nitpick has gone on FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too long, and at a measly $90, I'm more than willing to live with the slight variations. Despite what others would have you believe, it's not so glaring as to make the sculpt/paint look like something other than what it is, an Utapau Clone Trooper.
And P.S. I don't want to bite you. Scabies and crabs aside, God knows what else you'd transfer.
Automaton said:Let the people vent in peace! you wouldn't bud in on a redundant discussion on the subway, why choose to on a forum? at first i thought, yeah... maybe this is a little nit - picky myself... but after hearing the arguments presented here i can't help but think SST really let their supporters down. the company knows how demanding the Star Wars crowd can be! this is their outlet... was the clone helmet a simple mistake / oversight or a careless disregard for accuracy? what better place to hash it out?
He didn't say it's what they wanted... he just said they approved what SSC sent, which obviously means someone at LFL missed the inaccuracies as well.Auto- Venting it totally fine. Did you miss though the part about how a SS Employee said this is what LFL wanted. So if anyone let anyone down the blame falls on LFL.
The SS helmet looks a little off in that pic Irish. Has anybody mentioned it yet?

Yup, as it was explained to us, the helmet was made to match LFL provided reference material, submitted to LFL, approved, and presented as a prototype to the SSC customer base. Nothing to suggest that it better matched the photos folks are posting then LFL said "uh-uh." In fact, were that the case, I'm sure Shatterer would have just said, we made it just like that guys, but LFL wouldn't give it a pass, sorry. Shatterer made other comments that ammounted to potentially making alterations before the production piece, so if it were LFL dictation for it to look this way, there'd be no room for that.
