I'm canceling one of two I have pre-ordered. I just don't see the need to have both Clones posed with a future Cody release. If the helmet looks "off" on the production piece I might cancel and just focus on OT Stormtroopers and Sandtroopers.

Seriously - anyone who makes this board unpleasant to visit is likely to get banned, whether they are continually negative about Sideshow product or if they're defensive about it.

However I would agree that continual harping on a single issue isn't productive. Those that feel strongly about the helmet - maybe post some photo comparisons with a diagram of exactly what changes you feel need to be made?

I know there are some photos back in this thread - but it does seem there are some differences between screen caps from the movie and stills used for publicity. Has anyone done that analysis?

If the helmet is indeed wrong, explorations of what might have contributed to that - the people at SSC are smart and contrary to a lot of opinion, so are the LFL guys - let's posit some opinions about why the differences.

See, there are a lot of directions this thread could take - but constant bickering isn't one of them. If we have to, we'll just close it down and wait for either new photos or the item to start shipping.

Personally, I don't see a single thing wrong with continuing to bring up the errant helmet until Sideshow either fixes it, or doesn't. And we won't know that until the Utapau ships and the 2nd EP3 Clone variant is announced and shown. Until that time, I plan to continue beating that drum... because we have nothing to lose by them fixing it. The problem is thenam and people like him (well, really just him) will continue the broken record of personal attacks.

I may be beating a dead horse, but at least I have an end-game and my "dead horse" is a topic and not another individual poster. No need at all for it to get personal. EVER. I wish I could say the same for others.

i do agree that the freaks board is a good measuring stick to a certain extent for the sideshow peeps to look in on and gauge an interest on what we have to say. and im pretty sure that we arent the only board they go to to look for early feedback........hell the mods on their own board post some stuff that i would never thought would have made it by. but ive witnessed the other side of the coin as well with proto pics looking awesome and the final product not so much. either way though i think ssc wants to hear about it.........(just my opinion though).

For the record I canceled for $$$$ reasons not because of some minute "flaw" on the helmet which 99.99999999992% of SS customers won't notice.

Irish, question. At Comic-Con, could you tell or did you find out if the Stormtrooper helmets were going to be like Medi Boba Fett with a fake head stuck inside that would go on the neck post or does the helmet just have a hole for the neck peg?

Not really. One Sideshow minion finally acknowledged in this thread that he could finally see what we were complaining about. He said nothing further, including whether or not the production team was even notified or is considering doing anything.

Thus, the drumming will continue.

Seriously, though, I will. I suppose I could do one of those Photoshop things that circle the particular areas in colors. Trust me, when you see it... it's OBVIOUS.

It does befuddle that some people think they look exactly the same. I suppose that explains how Sideshow goofed and why Lucasfilm missed it in the first place.

Pretty sure there was no "fake head" inside. Can't remember exactly how that worked, sorry... I was too busy oggling it and the Vader.
