Ya, HR version is key. The black part on 4 is definitely wider, but the details on the white part is a ? mark, and 3 looks different but it could just be lighting showing more of the grey part.

You realize it likely would not have been changed if there hadn't been people to speak up about it. The Sideshow rep on this board didn't notice the inaccuracies until they were pointed out to him in a photo comparison.

Likely it was addressed waaaaaaay in the beginning, when Sideshow acknowledged it, before all the back and forth began. That said, I have absolutely no doubt that someone will find some minor flaw to exploit in a fit of rage once the production pics are released. :lol

Well, with a Q&A entry indicating changes have been made and production pics out, it's natural to compare and see just what did change.

But quite pointless without hi-res pics or close-ups. Without them, it's still just primarily speculation going off the little bit you can see. Wouldn't you agree?

No. I don't think its pointless. It is interesting and I'm glad soebody brought up the change in pics on the order page.

What interests me, is could there be even more changes. Note there's no inside box view, I can't think of an SSC production update gallery with box front and back shots and no interior, but then it also begs the question, if the box interior isn't shown because of further changes (sure the blister won't change), why would you even update the other pictures.

No, some of it, like the black between the aerators, is obvious even at low-res.

The fact that they specifically addressed a substantial difference in the lower part, including the respirators would likely be visible. I don't see a change which makes me wonder if that's even a production sample with the fixes.

There's little reason to post new images if it's not a production sample. New pics and box images pretty much means here you go gang, this is the figure you'll be getting.

Even with the hi-res it's hard to tell if everyone's going to be happy, but in the low res it looks like the area around the aereator hasn't changed, but in hi-res it looks like the right shape - difficult to tell without a straight on shot. But the aereators are larger, although maybe not as large as they should be - compare to the pictures on the box, which are of the proto.

It seems to me the only thing not "fixed" is the size of the silver part of the aereator.

More than that Dave, the visor's still narrow, the grate part over the mouth is still flat and sharp, and the housing area for the aerators is still the same as the proto. The only thing that looks to have changes is the area for the "nose".

It doesn't look horrible, but I still hope the remainder of stuff gets changed for future clone Troopers. It's kinda like a Han portrait with Harrison's face but Hammil's eyes.

Makes you wonder if the change was put in motion before the comments here on the site. You'd think if they took the effort to carve out the space for the "nose" and retooled it, they'd widen the visor too at least.

One of Irish's biggest complaints is that the area for the aerators is supposed to be flat on top, not round like the prototype's which was the most glaring discrepancy. If they fixed anything (which I still can't see from these pics), they'd likely have done that. Especially after drawing attention to it in the Ask Sideshow.

BTW, thanks Sachiel for the link to the hi-res pics.
