Cocoboloboy, your finished ANH Vader looks amazing. I can't wait to see the ESB version Hurricane is doing for me.

Yeah, I can't wait to get it!
I was torn between getting a ANH version or ESB so I'm really curious to see how yours turned out.

I'm like you, man. I love both designs of the Vader suit, but in the end I decided to go with ESB by the narrowest of margins. I know it will be amazing when it's done.

crown brass etched details the pattern was made using shots of the 'jedi' reveal helmets crown,so they are exact,(so are the brow bits also taken from prop parts)soooooooooo.....freshly etched bits...and them in place, this etching is allowing for some really tiny parts to be made cant wait to see how this technique can be used on other SW customs..

I can see my great, great, great, great grandson going on "Antiques roadshow" and some futuristic boffin (no doubt still wearing tweed) talking about

"this early turn of the century piece, a fantastic example of sculpting and what was then known as "kitbashing", under here the wonderful part the acid etched detailing, quite a remakable piece, it was made by one of the profound artisans of this period, Glenn Arnold also known as Hurricane. its value ? id estimate it as priceless"

:)

and Ive got one coming woooooooooooooot !!!!!!!!!!!

firstly been outta action for a week with heavy duty personal crap, but all done now i hope so back to the grind, secondly, when logging into photobucket i was prompted to change password, does anyone know if this is legit? thirdly cathode sabers which are a pig to solder, and 'prop' look ANH armor.

Those sabers look so cool lined up.

Edit: Don't the movie Vader sabers hang from a loop at the front of the hilt not a loop at the back?

so has anyone else's excitement about a SS Vader been lowered a bit in anticipation for their Hurricane Vader? still excited and will be first in line though.

Lowered a little but I'm hoping SS does a different version of Vader than what Hurricane has done for me.

I'm very interested in how they will compare. If the SS Vader will do anything better, if parts can be used to further enhance hurricane's work. I seriously doubt SS will have all the bells and whistles, certainly not the light up saber. The chest and voice features are highly unlikely too.

No doubt the SS Vader will be great, especially with the new bodies, etc, but I doubt it will ever top the personal touch of a Hurricane Vader. (Brass etching?)

Nice to know the option is out there and I'm VERY curious to see what 'Cane does with the new part this will provide.

You can never have too many Vaders and I'm siked that I've got one on order with 'Cane and can't wait to see what Sideshow has to offer.:chew

The SSC Vader actually raises my chances of getting one from the 'cane, as now I'll a) no lon ger be waiting to see what SSC is going to make and b) will give Hurricane access to even more potential base parts so his figures will be even better.

True, 'Cane will probably upgrade his Vader with the SS clothing and definitely the base suit. But he's been doing this for so long now, he's really got it down to a science.

We may find that all he does with the SS Vader is add lights and glowing saber and voice function. Might help those who can't afford a real Hurricane full-mod Vader. Now they can just get their SS one "lit-up" for probably a fairly reasonable price.

Ironically, this will probably create more business for Hurricane rather than dampen his sales.
