The first bust is awesome. This one looks like it'll be stylistically different enough. As far as devaluing secondary market prices...

Whoever pays inflated prices needs to ask themselves if they'd pay it all over again if they could find it for retail in the near future before they pay said inflated price. If you're going to overpay, at least know you are overpaying with the justification that the juice is worth the squeeze. Look at the collectible, not the status it holds on ebay or in online toy collecting communities. Sometimes the weight of the word 'grail' can get to people and their rationality. If something's not worth X amount, then don't pay X amount, and there's no excuse over secondary markets 'forcing' you.

i hope this means theres another 1:1 Carnage and Alien Warrior in the future. I mean c'mon, the Warrior sells for like 3k, if SS is smart at all, it would be the smartest bust to make again, maybe even with an accurate paint job. The demand for that is greater than a new Venom, so SS isnt milking the right character here.

I agree. If the new 1:1 Venom is supposed to be a companion piece to Carnage then I'm not getting my hopes up for Venom.

Getting pissed that there is another release only because you paid more than retail for the 1st version is dumb imo. You knew exactly what you were signing up for when you decided to pay $2k for the first venom bust. No one held a gun to your head and no one made you overpay to a flipper

I'd be more pissed at overpaying for something like that than being pissed at a company for making another version.

This is the collectible world...____ gets re-made all the time. this is nothing new. At least it is a completely different approach and sculpt to the character. if it were the SAME version being released like J Scott Campbell does with his so called "limited edition" art prints, then i can see why people would be upset.

didn't get the first version and won't get this one. for those that think the original will drop, well maybe it will and maybe it won't, but look at all those that thought the Hulk PF would drop once the Com was announced and released. there was only 300 of the first ones made and if you want one you'll still have to fork out $1k+ for it, as most are in permanment collections.

sure the IM dropped, but man there is Sooooooooooooo much IM collectables out there to choose from, does it really surprise anyone?

Im just looking forward the the Alien Warrior lifesize bust vers 2 since I missed out vers 1.......... I seems Sideshow are running vers 2 of all lines.......Last it was the expensive Endoskelton lifesize statue vers 2...........

Whats next in the vers 2 line Sideshow ?

Hulk comiquette was nowhere near the quality or size of the Hulk premium format and they made some bad artistic judgement calls on the com. This will be more along the lines of spiderman com versus PF in devaluation.

That's all just opinion. A lot of people hate the Hulk premium format because of the classic Kirby look and prefer the more modern com. Many don't like the material pants on the premium format preferring the fully sculpted com. Many think the Hulk premium format has a boring pose. There have been tons a criticisms of the Hulk premium format, people seem to have forgotten that and place it on some infallible pedestal. But it was not, is not, as universally loved as some will lead you to believe.


And actually the com is nearly identical in size as the premium format, biggest difference is in weight. And the Hulk premium format has a massive head.

Then the price of hulk PF would go down but it did not. You just emphasized the point why that is a bad comparisom as people did not like the comiquette as much as they should even with your said dislikes of the PF. And it is smaller in scale AND weight.

I don't really expect them to either. Let's be realistic if it sells you'll see multiples without a doubt. I fully expect a Red/Blue and Black Spider-Man 1:1 probably done in Ultimates style if this is in fact done in Ultimates styling hell probably Ultimates Carnage too.
