I think you'll start to give into the idea of Droids and Ewoks...just a matter of time. :monkey1

I know I've been tempted by the Ewoks and Droids figures, but the cost and fact that I don't recognize most of the Droids keeps me away. I will probably first complete an Ewoks (since they're much cheaper) and then move on to Droids.

Bummer is that I know I'd never have a complete set since Vlix is 1) insanely expensive and 2) I think there are a decent amount of bootlegs and I can't say I'd ever trust I could get a real one even if I was dumb enough to try and buy one :lol

Here's a AFA graded 80 which didn't meet its reserve :google

Again there is that 100% thing again, I am going to find a nice recast and have it painted. Just like my repro plastic cape Jawa.

Yeah, I'm not usually worried about 100% on figures... but with something like this I would like to have a complete set and Vlix does fit into that... there are some very nice repros; but I honestly wouldn't really care for one in my collection.

Are we still talking about favourite vintage figures?

I make no apologies for my love of Ewoks... I was clearly a targeted market being 5 years old when ROTJ was released and due to this I loves me some Ewoks :lecture

I'm with you - it's really hard to pick a favourite, but it's probably between Yoda and Wicket. For some reason I really like the tiny figures, I guess!

GI Joe: SE V2, Stalker, Crimson Guard (I could probably list a whole lot more)

Transformers: Soundwave

Super Powers: Darkseid

MOTU: Modulok, Moss Man

I would get a real Vc Jawa first at that price.

I plan getting a repo cape for one of my extras just to have one.

Have you guys seen these new Playskool Heroes figures? They have Marvel, Star Wars and Transformers versions... My brother bought my son an Optimus Prime, which is honestly really cool. The Transformation is just like the classic.

They have these little two packs of 3" figures so I picked up Han and Chewie and 3po and R2 for my son today. :D

Yeah, I bought my son Jack Optimus Prime. They're awesome.

Ah. Looks pretty nifty, but just last week I got this for $100 shipped (roughly 6' X 4'), so I'm having difficulty spending that much for a typical poster-sized print:

That's HT Spidey for scale.

Bad ass poster, Sam! :rock I'd give you more compliments but I don't want it going to your head. :nana:

I see a little Hulk figure there on your thermostat too!

Yeah, very cool! Gabe has a Galactic Heroes Falcon that I got him at Costco last year, but that came with Lando and Nien, so I had to get him a Han and Chewie.

Are Galactic Heroes the same as the Combat Heroes/Robot Heroes (GI Joe and TF)?

I bought all the GI Joe and G1 TF ones. Kind of wish they'd have kept those lines going...

Not into the SW or Marvel ones, for some reason.

Wow, guess I killed the vintage mood here!

I just opened up a box of Dino Riders that look to be pretty cool... Unfortunately I've already noticed a broken piece on one (Triceratops). Hopefully that's it... but I've heard the armour pieces on these are pretty fragile, sometimes... Hopefully it isn't too difficult finding pieces for these (I know I need a missile for the Pterodactyl as well).

I would love to get a T-Rex from that series oneday... sadly getting a complete loose one is gonna cost an arm and a leg :lol

Similar but I think these new ones have more articulation.

They're notorious for cracking/breaking.

I gotta take a picture of my friends collection, it's HUGE! :monkey4

Like Deak said, they're similar. These new ones have at least a couple points of articulation each, hips, shoulders, wrists, etc, depending upon the character. No Joes at this point, but the SW and TF ones are pretty cool.

This thread usually gets quiet over the weekend. :lol

I think because we all have families/poontang at home? :dunno Speaking of vintage, I highly recommend you guys check out the new Thundercats cartoon/toys. VERY 80'ish. The cartoon is awesome, light years better than the Clone Wars, and I am a SW fan. :gah:
