I love this thread... It's a shame that every thread on SSF isn't like this one.

New haul!

Where to? I've had this crazy notion recently to move to Portland. :lol

If there's a bright center to the universe, I live on the city that it's farthest from. I am thinking about relocating to Minneapolis for several reasons. But I also oddly enough considered Portland, OR and Austin, TX. :lol

Austin was cool about 20 years ago. It's grown too fast over the last 10 years, so it's not so cool anymore.

Nice! :rock Portland, actually, to answer your question DW! That's where my wife and I moved to Tampa from. We miss it. A lot.

The culture is just fantastic and its a much better place to raise a family. Lots of "artsy" things to do with the various state of the art cinemas and rustic theater pubs. Skiing, mountains, the ocean, just a two and half hour drive to Seattle, no natural disasters or over the top crime, etc.

I like them but the room they would take up, not to mention the cost, is a turn off... Plus I'm really enjoying collecting the real vintage line. 20 more to go!!! :rock

Of these ten figures I've never owned the Rancor Keeper or Madine till now. Though Madine is just as boring as you'd imagine the Rancor Keeper is really, really cool. The sculpting is super impressive.

LA or San Diego would be my top choices, but realistically, I don't think they would work cost-of-living wise. From what I've read, Portland seems like it would be a great fit. Breweries for me and wineries for my wife. It seems like a great place to be outdoors. I hear there's even year-round skiing nearby. I don't even want to be outside anymore here.

We're actually planning a trip there in March for my wife's 40th birthday. She's worried she'll fall in love with the place. All part of the plan. :yess:

No natural disasters? Quite a few faults and are capable of big quakes.

You just pictured one of the figures that is pissing me off. I cant believe cloud car pilot is that hard to find complete. He Is the last non POTF figure I need.

San Diego would be my first choice, but that ain't happening. Cha-ching!

I was in Portland earlier this year for a conference, I really liked it. It rained every day which was a bit depressing... but even with that I still really liked what I saw of the area.

Also I have a cousin and friend from high school that live out there so its a place I've also considered. Cost of living is the only concern I have... were we're at now is pretty cheap, but I'd also probably make more if I relocated :huh

That's a solid group. Love that Bespin Han... probably my favourite SW figure as a kid and he's one that I still need. :(
