This thread is much harder to scan for without the little blue Sunglasses Guy.

Anyway, this is just a custom I did a while ago so it isn't true Vintage, but I think it fits in here w/ the SW stuff.

Thanks, Waller! :hi5:

Picked up a couple more Super Powers guys; Hawkman and Green Lantern. Slowly getting the band back together.

Beauty!

I keep meaning to get more of these guys at some point. So far I've only got Batman, though I guess if you only have one, that's not a bad one to have!

Awesome Superfriends. Those are a little while after my time, but my younger brother had quite a few of them. I found Superman in pretty rough shape in my "miscellaneous" (odds and ends) toy box a couple months ago - I hadn't had a good and complete sorting through it since I packed the stuff away in 1999.

Great colors! You did an awesome job, Mando!

Bats is my favorite as well. I had a bunch at one time but now I'm down to Batman, Robin (missing cape), the Batmobile and a poorly carded Flash.

I'd like to at least get a minty Superman and Wonder Woman to complete the DC "Big Three"... Then maybe the rest of the Justice League types, and villains. Darkseid was probably one of my favourite figures as a kid. I didn't even really know who he was, but he was so cool and imposing looking!

That Adventure People stuff really brought back memories, too. I don't think I've thought about them for at least 25 years. I remember having that little orange moon rover and a cayak... My cousin had a really cool boat, too - bigger than the one in those pics (or at least that's how I'm remembering it).

I just bought a few more Adventure People this past week, the mountain climbers set. I have a number of sets on my wanted list, but I'm not going to try to complete the whole series. ;) I also just scored one of my long-time wanted list items this afternoon. A Deluxe Daitarn 3 die cast robot. One of my favorite toys as a kid.

Holiday Special Boba. Nice! I thought about doing something like that for the white prototype Boba.

Well done MANDO - nice work!! :clap :duff

Thanks guys. If you have a some time and a spare beat up Fett he's a neat one to take a crack at.

And Waller I'm right there with you on Proto Fett. He looks like the perfect blank canvas to have some fun with!

Batman is hands down my favorite although I could never find him as a kid. Green Lantern would probably be a close second. Right now I'm just focusing on the League, and then I plan to do the Rogues. If you have the space DPrime I highly recommend the Batmobile. Its such a great little toy and THE vehicle to get from Super Powers.

And Darkseid was a great figure. I loved the light-pipe eyes!

Oh yeah, the Batmobile is definitely on my radar. I'm sure I could find a place for it somewhere!

I can't wait until I photograph my own pictures. ;) This is what I've recently picked up on the bay and should have in my displays soonish:

Just make sure you look for one with a good front AND back windshield. That's always the piece that's broken or missing. Mine has a small crack on one of the back ones but I only paid $15 for it so I could live with it.

What's this robot from? He's pretty cool looking. And nice gets on the FP Adventure People.

If we're posting eBay purchase pics, I'll post my latest:

Card condition is rough but it's going to be an opener once I get the rest.

The robot is Daitarn III made by Sunrise. I don't have any attachment to the original manga/anime, but I had the toy as a kid. Last year I didn't even know the name of the robot, but surprisingly (to me) I was able to figure it out with a couple of quick image searches. Phew! Image search has saved my *** a few times in the last year actually. Things used to be a lot more difficult to identify, even online, back in 1994 let me tell you. ;)

I've been wanting the FP Adventure People climber set for a long time and when I saw a nice clean set this weekend, I pulled the trigger. Same for Daitarn actually. He's supposed to be mint in box and the box looks just about as god as you can expect it to. I set a snipe at my maximum price and forgot about it for a few days - last night I was pleasantly surprised with a notification that I'd won the auction.

He'll look great out of the package, especially since you should be able to wash his arms. :)

Sonuvabeeotch! I just saw that. Crap. I hope it comes off. That's the first time I've seen that with an LJN figure. I know some are notorious for it like the Gandalf figure from the Knickerbocker LOTR line.

Just realized that while I've been neglecting this thread, I have amassed a "new" vintage collection over the past year or so:

I assure you, they are usually displayed more elegantly than that, but the lighting isn't great for photos yet down in the basement!

Just make sure you look for one with a good front AND back windshield. That's always the piece that's broken or missing. Mine has a small crack on one of the back ones but I only paid $15 for it so I could live with it.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep that in mind!

What's a good price for one that's loose/minty?

I had some of those sets! I actually donated a bunch of parts from that set to Goodwill a year or so ago. I didn't have any complete sets, though.
