OMG!!! Space Lego was my favorite line as a kid. I had quite a few of those. You gotta get some Blacktron sets too. Those were awesome as well.

I had some of those sets! I actually donated a bunch of parts from that set to Goodwill a year or so ago. I didn't have any complete sets, though.

Oh, that's too bad. Vintage parts can be difficult to find, even on Bricklink. I've learned a lot about collecting this stuff - even your regular old 2x4 blue bricks were different than today, or even a few years later. Older Lego felt different to, when you put pieces together... Tighter clutch, a bit of a squeak even when you press the pieces together. And of course rather more brittle plastic after all those years... It was a bit frustrating figuring it all out, actually (and somewhat surprisingly, the collecting/vintage aspect of the Lego fan community isn't all that well documented), but rewarding too. All the sets you see have nice, minty original parts. I've got a few others in almost complete condition, too. :)

Oh, and you should look up Goodwill sometime. Rather shoddy business practices, not a great place to donate stuff. :)

Mine too! Blackthorn was a bit after my time, but I do like the Space Police 1 and Futuron stuff, especially that Monorail set... I would get some of the original Blacktron sets if I came across a good deal, though. There's so many tempting lines though... The old Castle and Pirates stuff, especially.

Oh, and I almost forgot - there will be a big Classic Space-style spaceship released this year as part of the Lego Movie line, too! Looks pretty awesome... Complements the old line nicely. :)

Anyone seen one of these little bastards around lately? Been looking for quite some time - there's been one in poor shape on eBay now for months, but I'm looking for one at least as good as the one in the picture.

Richard Scarry's Busytown - Sergeant Murphy - about 2.5" tall vinyl/pvc hollow.

I had no idea they made Richard Scarry figs. I used to love those books!

So jealous! That's awesome. I'm totally going to look for those Dune action figures!

Yeah, it's a cool little line. I like when there are only a few figures, it makes it easier to collect. I think I'm going to try and get another Paul and spare Stilgar and try a head swap so I can have Paul in his Stillsuit.

Good to see this thread alive again. I had a bunch of 80's Lego sets but I'm not sure if I still have them anymore. I saved everything else I had but I'll have to check someday.

Here's a couple pics from my gun collection.

really like that watergun Uzi...brings back memories and making that special trip just to get that exact Water gun

LaRami was awesome. I had that Tec-9, I believe, as well as an awesome Mac-10 with suppressor. Some others too but I'm not sure which were LaRami other than those two.

I haven't posted in this thread in forever. It's so hard to find vintage toys around here, but I stumbled on this in Savannah not too long ago. I used to play with this as a kid, so it really brought back some memories.

The Scramble Van is missing the back door and a few accessories, but is in otherwise great shape. It's the first issue with the removable front horns. Later issues had the horns molded to the plastic.

The bike is the stunt cycle. It's missing the decals. I don't think they were ever put on. It's the second issue. It looks like the third issue, but it retains the crossbar on the handlebars. Thankfully the clear stunt bar on the back of the seat is still there. Most are missing or broken off.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the find. Evel Knievel.jpg

Super find! Every now and then I search for the stunt cycle (with the launcher thing) but haven't been able to find an original one in both great shape and great price. One of my favorite toys growing up!

I also had this Uzi when I was a kid. I believe my dad won it for me at a game in Seaside Heights in Jersey.

I know I've said this before in the thread but there were some really great realistic looking toy guns made in the 80's before companies were eventually forced to produce them in crazy colors.

A couple of key Thundercats figures I picked up when I scored a major toy collection months back.

I had that stunt bike set, but not the truck. Pretty cool seeing that.

Those Thundercats figures are in amazing shape. Congrats!

Dig seeing this thread back at the top!

Lovely Thundercats, Nintenjoe! I loved those in particular as a kid. Don't think I had Ma-Mutt though. The ones with the pets are definitely the ones to have, similar to the Tygra and Cheetara variants that come with the Kittens.

Sweet Space Legos too! I remember a lot of those from the catalog. Catalogs were the time.... I was always particularly fond of the simple solid-color spacemen, and classic Castle stuff. The "Robin Hood" woodsmen were another childhood favorite of mine.

My local TRU is the exact same model, but they repainted the rainbow slats solid blue and then white. Of course the selection is not nearly as exciting as '88. :pow

If we're posting eBay purchase pics, I'll post my latest:

Card condition is rough but it's going to be an opener once I get the rest.

Well the figure got here and it indeed had fuzzy arms and a leg. It cleaned up nicely though. I'm curious to see if it will come back.

At a toy show this past weekend, I managed to snag a boxed Spice Scout for $40. Box is a little rough but that doesn't bother me as it's getting opened anyways. I also snagged a carded Feyd and Rabban on Ebay. 3 more figures and a Sandworm to go...

That's a shame. I wonder what the reasoning was for that. I've seen lots of pics online of old school TRU's with their slats painted white but everything else is the same.
