thanks dude. :duff

cool. i will check it out. i've had the majority of my vintage MOTU AFA graded, but i kinda don't believe in universal grading anymore. i'd just like to have my stuff in nice cases from now on.

I'd have an issue with not being able to touch the item any longer. At least with a case it can be displayed and protected but still handled.

While this just confirms your already questionable taste in toys that is still a cool story... As adults, and especially as toy loving adults, it's great to rehash those deeply embedded memories from our youths. Funny how vivid those memories are.

Yeah, sometimes the best benefit of getting hurt or sick was the possibilty of a cool toy. When I was a kid my Great Aunt would always take me to this store called Heights Furniture in Cleveland that had this ridiculously awesome toy section and I was allowed to spend $10. Man I could get some cool stuff when I spent the day with her :rock

thanks. yeah the artwork is one of the best things about vintage MOTU. IMO it's the best artwork of any 80's toy line.
regarding books, there's nothing official. no all encompassing toy book or anything.

Totally agree... I'm not the worlds biggest MOTU fan, but the image posted early on in this thread has been my background at work for a year and half :rock

yeah that is a little bit of an issue but for me it's mostly the idea of someone else telling me the condition of my item.

oh yeah the he-man on battle cat and skeletor on panthor poster. i have high res images of a bunch of MOTU posters including that one. some even have the names of the characters photoshopped out to give it a clean look. if anyone is interested in them i could upload them all to megaupload.

Gotta say those do not ring a bell at all... I remember the hamburgers and other food that transformed as well as (I think) a set of Go-Bots, but those are new to me.

Do you know if they were a creation of McDonalds, or tied to a specific license?

HOLY CRAP! Talk about a blast from the past. Yeah, I remember those - I think I had three out of the four. They were pretty high-quality for McD toys.

That'd be a cool set to have.

Pretty sure they were created for/by McDonalds. I remember when they came out and we had a bunch, but I certainly don't recall any media tied to them.

You know, looking at your sig post after post has convinced me to go after more of the POTF figs (I only have the Ewoks - yes, I loved the Ewoks - and poncho Luke right now). I'm either going to love you for it or hate you for it... or most likely a bit of both.

Also going to try and track down a minty blue Snaggie...
