Just a few random goodies I've acquired from some local antique stores/eBay over the past few weeks...

RoboForce is a line I've always had a strange affinity for. I realize that these robots are supposed to be deadly warriors locked in a raging battle for supremacy of the universe, but they're just so darn cute.

It's a "long mask" version, which I'm not thrilled about, but it's still M.A.S.K., baby.

Never a huge Go-Bots fan, but when you see something like this in a brick & mortar at $15, you kind of have to snatch it up.

As a kid, if an action figure came with a rope of some kind, I had to have it. Weird now, but it made perfect sense to me at the time. Anyway, Kenner's Sky Commanders line was kind of like G.I. Joe meets M.A.S.K. (with ropes!), so for at least three weeks in 1987, I was in heaven.

...and to think, I nabbed all of these for less than half of what HT's Indy would have cost me. :monkey1

Great pick ups!!! I too always liked those Robot Force toys... although they are anything but menacing :lol

BTW, what do you mean by a "long mask" version?

What, no Zartan, Firefly, Major Bludd, Snake Eyes V2 w/Timber, Flint, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, Roadblock, Gung Ho, Stalker, Crimson Guard, B.A.T., Viper...?

Lots of must haves in RAH.

Tis the truth! :lecture:lecture:lecture

First series had long and short masks.

Ditto, on both!

I had completely forgotten about those robots - very cool!

Some time during the production of the M.A.S.K. toys, Kenner added a little extra length to the figure's masks. Here's a pic that I straight up jacked from some guy's M.A.S.K. site to illustrate...

EDIT: As I was pic-jacking, I see that Slade creeped in with the response. Still, I went to all that trouble, so here it is... :lol

...I assume it had something do to with not wanting little Billy to choke to death on Brad Turner's Hocus Pocus or Dusty Hayes' Backlash.

Not a huge difference, but the original shorter masks more closely resemble the cartoons, so that would have been my mask of choice.

Hey... I appreciate the effort :duff

And now I've learned something new :rock

Uh-oh... what's Deak got you on the line for :lol

And wish I could help... I'd love to take that Palpatine off your hands; but no space is no fun :monkey2
