Heading up to Disneyland/DCA after work today for my first visit to Cars Land! Pretty stoked!

Also very excited to ride the new bobsleds on the Matterhorn!

Make sure you take some padding, you're going to need them for the new bobsleds on the matterhorn lol. It's one bumpy ride on some hard plastic. You will love cars land it's awesome.

Bummer. I was hoping they'd fix the bumpy ride with the new sleds. O well, still one of my all time favorite rides.

Rumors are coming about that Disneyland will maybe get a 3rd theme park in the next decade.... themed to MARVEL. O_O

Only rumors so it may not even happen. CEO Bob Iger is telling press in interviews though that he wants Marvel IN the parks and Walt Disney World is off-limits for the time being.

I've been saying that for about seven years. Then every time I think about it, I'm all "Eh, it's too complicated and expensive." I just take my average pictures, and let everyone else take the fantastic ones.


Also, Tomorrowland in DLP looks really interesting.

It's got the Jules Verne aesthetic that really works for "Discoveryland" (what they call it). Then they tried to go half-assed at Disneyland's Tomorrowland and it failed in 1998.

Now there's rumors that they're going to upgrade Tomorrowland as the major next step following the success of DCA's re-grand opening.

I've read those rumors as well but I would rather see something else as a 3rd Park. More like Epcot or something and then add some Marvel attractions to the Disney Studios Park in Paris.

One of the most boring attractions at the moment is Armageddon so they could tear that one down and build something else Marvel related instead. Then there is the new Ratatouille Dark Ride that is coming to the studios park but that isn't enough for a full day at the studios. So maybe a Marvel Build land like Toy Story play land is a good option. What also would be very cool if they would at the 3D Toy Story attraction to Toy Story Playland but I guess that is way to expensive at the moment voor DLP.

Another Rumor is a Star Wars Themed area in Discovery Land in DLP and I wouldn't mind that at all. There is just to little to do at the moment. The 3D theater is now shut so they could re-arrange that Star Wars Wise. The Pizza Planet restaurant could become the Cantina and then Star Tours would be upgraded. What I like best about this idea is that all that is behind Space Mountain so when you walk into Discovery Land you don't lose the Jules Verne vibe that is there and when you walk around the corner on either side you are in the Star Wars theme. Plus it would mean that Disneyland Paris would earn some extra €€€ with Star Wars events, merchandise etc.
