I really could go for that teriyake burger from Trader Sam's. That thing was so good.

I went there twice on Saturday but just for drinks. Haha.

OH, and I did go to the Cove Bar for a beer and yup, it took forever to shake down the bartender AT the bar. And I was seated! She basically didn't see me. But once we finally waved her over, she was nice and prompt.

Wow, Protozaius, that was REALLY fun trip through Disneyland Resort food. And it really seemed like the food you got was really good as well!

ProtoZ did you go to Trader Sam's?

I'm glad you like it. And yes I did go to Trader Sam's... without my camera. It's a bar that you can only find at a Disney park. Kept meaning to go back. But the closest I got to the place again was when I was watching my son go down the Monorail slide.

Thanks for all the fun (and delicious) looking food pictures Protoz!

All this Disney talk is getting me very stoked for my trip (in 22 days by the way). Got my reservation all set for Carthay Circle for night two. Planing on Jazz Kitchen for dinner on the first night followed by some Krakatoa's and Captains Mia Tia's at the best bar in the world.

Either way, I love reading all the Disney posts lads, it's always nice to know there are others who love Disney as much as I do.

:yess::clap

Agreed!

So this week was the first week of Droid Factory at Star Trader. FINALLY! It's amazing that it got installed with very little fanfare and not even a blog post about it until right before the weekend. Even going on Saturday to get some droids (after a week of being there) the cashier said "this is my first droid factory sale". Crazy. I'm sure that's going to c hange VERY soon.

It's an improved station over the Florida one, this has four sides allowing four guests to go at a time.

I can't believe I just missed this exhibit! BY ONLY A WEEK! :gah:

AND I also missed the Build-A-Droid addition in Star Traders too! :gah: :gah:

Proto, if you want help with the droids, I certainly don't mind helping a fellow Disney fan out.

Thank you very much for the offer... I just might be taking you up on the offer. I need to consult with my son to see what pieces he was looking to get. Those Disney themed pieces (Goofy Hat, Mickey ears and Sparrow's hat) are SO adorable.

Coheteboy how was the Iron Man display? I did not manage to check it out opening day, I'm going this weekend instead. Was it packed?

I'm a passholder and I really wanted to see the Iron Man Exhibit and was sooo excited all day, I picked my girlfriend up from work and we get to Disneyland and the exhibit was already closed,:gah: apparently they close at 6:00pm, I was really bummed out so we just went home, lame.

is there any star war or marvel related places in disney world in Florida? i am getting married there this weekend and might as well checkout all the new star war and marvel stuff if any.

So far the disney wedding team has been great and took care of everything. And we are having dinner at the crystal palace restaurant in magic kingdom, couldn't get reservation at chef Mickey I am told those needs to be reserved 6months in advance :slap

Was this Saturday or Friday? Cause I heard that on Friday they were letting ap members check out the exhibit early but they needed to be there before 5pm to get a wristband to come back later for a special after hours event.

Chef Mickey's is bizarrely hit or miss. We've tried 6 months out with no luck, but then again were able to get a reservation the next year about a month out. Same exact time of year. I guess it just is timing with recent cancellations, etc.

As for the merch - Star Wars, your best bet is probably Tatooine Traders in DHS, but there should be SW merch scattered everywhere. Marvel, you'll find a handful of stuff, but not as much as you'd think (this is as of my last trip, June 2012). It is a bit off course, but obviously the motherlode of Marvel merch will be at Islands of Adventure.

Congrats on the wedding and the Disney wedding! Given my wife and my sicko obsession, I'm surprised this never came up as an idea. We did wind up there for 10 days on the honeymoon, though.

That sucks, hope they don't do that on Saturday.

Just be sure to maybe try and make it your first priority. I made the mistake of going there specifically for that reason and was let down to find out the exhibit was not all day.:slap I guess I will just have to go back sometime this week during the day time, but not as much fun when your by yourself.

I went to the Iron Man exhibit on Saturday afternoon. The park opened at 9am and the exhibit didn't open until 11am. There was an hour wait.

I went back on Sunday hoping to take some better pictures and it was already closed even though the park still had an hour left. I suppose they just close the exhibit earlier in the evening because attendance drops off and it's no longer worth keeping it open for just a few guests.

It should be open all day what good is an exhibit if it's just packed with people all the time, you don't have a good chance to really look and admire everything. Wish they would have kept it on the California Adventure side like they did with the frankenweenie exhibit which was great!

I shot Disneyland an inquiry and they replied that this week it will open between 11-11:30am and close around 6-6:30pm. Not sure about weekends but I imagine it's pretty similar.

I posted these pics in the Iron Man Tech thread but thought I should keep a set here as well..
