Did Rorshach die with or without his mask on in the film? Did that jive with the book? He certainly loved that mask.

Rorschach's death wish comes from his violent nature and tendancies coupled with the fact he has no powers. He walks into a bar and openly brings attention, one man, one short man by the way so you'd think he'd be easily disposed of. He openly challenges prisoners in a prison. Its like he is begging someone to kill him.

The endgame with Manhattan was to see just how far he'd go to keep Adrian's secret, I saw it. A kind of "are you willing to kill me right now without emotion." The interesting thing is whether you are looking at it as his journal would be more powerful if when he wrote "If I am dead....." in it when it was posted or it was because for Manhattan he has lost all connection with humanity so killing Rorschach really wasn't too much of a weight on the mind, the point is Manhattan doesn't flinch. Veidt, Dan, Laurie they all would have had a tough time really killing someone in person, face to face because its easier to kill strangers than your friends. For Manhattan there was no line, its all the same to him. Manhattan is devoid of emotion almost completely except for things tied to Jon, his past and of course Laurie who taps into that. So even though Rorschach and him are friends, that isn't a factor in his actions.

He rips it off in the movie just like in the book.

Again, this is without knowledge of the book, but I saw Rorshach dying because they were long time friends and Manhattan was helping his friend out because Rorshach was asking to die because he accomplished what he needed to accomplish and didn't want to live with all his emotional scars anymore...

That's what I thought too...

I liked it and like many have said audiences were just expecting the typical super hero movie that were are used to seeing such as TDK or Iron man.

I know that I definitely got my $13 worth at the IMAX. It was a great movie and a great story.

Not having read the book I'm sure let me enjoy it more, but still a killer movie to me.

Maybe this movie is more up your alley...

Awwwwww.. Did someone just take offense just because I didn't like their overrated movie that had no business being 3 hours long? :lol

You'll get over it.

The graphic novel couldn't possibly be condensed into anything less than a 3 hour movie without losing cohesion.

Take into consideration the movie could have been even longer if it didn't cut out some extraneous sequences from the books.

I know you want to sound clever by being antagonistic, but you should get over it before advising someone to do the same.

I cant help but watch him. He's the funniest dude on YouTube. :lol

"Terry Gilliam's Brazil. Woooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!" Wooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooohee!!!!"
