Damn you beat me too it :lol

I believe the term he used was he may possibly have been subconsciously influenced by :lol

love the score to 300 though. I don't believe if you're work's going to be that high profile that you'd out and out rip off a score that won an oscar.

Personally I believe the Dark Knight was more entertaining but Watchmen had a better overall story. Two completely different types of movies though so it's hard to compare the two in my opinion.

I do agree with you there that the two really shouldn't even be compared, but that's naturally going to happen. Both are "superhero" movies from WB based on DC properties, so of course folks will lump them in together. But they really are quite different. TDK is much, much more mainstream.

I'm sure there are Irish, I'm just ribbing you about it. I don't think it's a bad movie at all. I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10. For me it just didn't work in quite a few areas, and I actually found myself questioning my love of the graphic novel (the problems I've always had with) as I'm seeing life breathed in to it. Something was lost in translation and a few artistic liberties just keep it down IMO.

Hey, no worries at all. To each his own. :duff

Find me another and we can make it a party.

How about three?

I loved TDK but I liked Watchmen more....

I liked how Watchmen was dark in tone, yet not necessarily dark cinematically. TDK was pretty much blackout for 90% of the movie.

GREAT point..IMO it was great and made me love the look of the film...but i feel that this threw alot of people off. when you think of dark gritty movies, we usually think of shadows, gloomy skys, and drab city scapes. they dont think of yellows, blues, purples whites and so on..Not that watchmen didnt have its share of dark and gloomy, but the color really added a different look. I thought NYC looked amazing (the veidt bulding, gunga diner, the ballon)...

and plus we got to see a guy with purple pants and a white mask going off with a meat cleaver on some pervs head:duh

I don't think that's true. The Dark Knight resonated because it was so well made. Watchmen just wasn't. Pretending it's not mainstream and the sheep didn't get it is going to be the obvious defense, but at the end of the day Zack Snyder just isn't half the director Chris Nolan is and he made a plodding, pretty mess that doesn't hold up if you apply the barest hint of thought to it. :duh
