Not necessarily. For most of our 1/6th scale figures we receive a few final, boxed samples a few weeks before receiving the entire shipment. Sometimes we don't though, so your guess is as good as mine :lol

Hey Dusty,
Now that you DO have a final boxed sample, can you please CONFIRM that the wristwatch IS included as shown on the box art and Proto Pics?

Btw, anyone's Order changed to Shipping Soon?

I just received confirmation from SSC CS that Sarah's wristband watch was CUT OUT from the production run. I had to call CS...

Of course it still appears on the box art as a reminder. This doesn't seem right to me, we ordered this piece with her watch shown. :monkey4

Oh well, it's only a watch. I have extras. I'd be more upset if they left out the sunglasses.

I'm more bothered by her bare arms. Too skinny. Look like toothpicks. Might need to find another female body that has rubber arms that look more realistic than that horrid female Buck body. That just won't do for Linda Hamilton.

Well, now I have to spend more money for an accessory which was shown on this piece during pre-order, then excluded. Hot Toys would never pull this crap.

Anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks Sideshow, now every time I look at the box art I can be reminded of this stealthy "cost cutting" measure at the expense of the Collector... very poor form. It's the principle of this that pisses me off, it was shown when we ordered the fig and now of course appears on the Box Art and wouldn't you know they withold the info until your card is charged or the fig is released.

Btw, can anyone tell me if that is a SWAT hat, the hard to find kind, or did SSC just throw in some generic ball cap?

T2 is on cable now and she is pretty scrawny in it (no ass or bewbs either)

Yeah but she had been working out and had some pretty big guns on her biceps since most people were impressed by it.

This reminds me how pissed I was when I got my Forbidden Zone Taylor. The pre-order pics showed his boots and fatigues covered in dirt deco but the final product shipped clean. I was shocked when I opened it and immediately called $$ customer service and was told that they had decided not to use the dirt deco on the final product. I expressed my disappointment with their decision and they said I could send it back within 30 days for a full refund. I was SOOOO close to sending it back too but I decided it was worth it for the bearded HS. Now I am SOOOO glad I didn;t because he goes for a mint on ebay now. Still, it's not the first time $$ has deceived us with prototype images and it's just not cool. They can't just give us the excuse "Not final product" or "Final product may differ from images shown." They are bordering on Bait & Switch. That's their legal disclaimer to get around it. It's bulls*** if you ask me.

just send it back if you don't like it is a slap in the face for anyone collecting these limited editions. isn't that what people are paying for? todays who cares retail attitude brings a new meaning to customer dis-service. and just when you think it can't get any worse... :duh

I can tell you right now that he's not going to send his back for that, just like I didn't send back my Forbidden Zone Taylor, and that's exactly what $$ is counting on. They figure they can cut a few corners just enough that fans aren't going to care or be disatisfied enough to return them and they are right. We either take it as-is or else they give it to a waitlister. And why should they care when they have sold out of them? They win, we lose.

Send it back? You totally missed the point there dude. See my previous posts where I asked where to BUY a watch now that it's been excluded...

Point WAS. Don't sell something you don't deliver on... and if there is a change, inform Collectors of it. Pretty simple

i don't think i have ever heard someone so despondent over a company that doesn't seem to acknowledge their obvious disassociated treatment of their customers. i sure am learning alot about collectibles and their company here. i'm sorry to hear that a customer is on the losing end. money is very hard to make and people need to spend wisely.

i'm sorry. i thought you were angry you didn't receive what you were paying for. my point was if you're unhappy, your disapproval seemed to fall on deaf ears if the only response was you can return it for a refund.

Yeah, you are missing the point. It's take what you get and if you don't like it send it back or cancel your pre-order. Pretty simple. Well, we've waited over a year for this figure and it would be totally assinine to cancel our orders because they left out a f'n watch. Point is that it's not the product that was shown at the time they solicited pre-orders so a few are feeling short-changed by this tactic and it is one they have repeated all-too-often. We don't like it but what are we going to do? They know we'll still buy it and they are right. Like pjam said, it's the principal. Hot Toys is in the habit of giving us added value (see Ripley WITH Power Loader) whereas $$ taketh away. Boo.

i really haven't bought much stuff from sideshow, and customer service is important although you don't see much of it when you buy anything. i'm curious as to why people continue to buy if they are unhappy with the company? medicom and hot toys have some great stuff. is it the massive selection of sideshow? i have been thinking of opening an account but all this negative treatment stories and people complaining about not getting their figure as described is giving me second, third and forth thoughts.

I think $$ has pretty great customer service but lately their product team just keeps dropping the ball on some things (dare I mention Plastic Fett?) and my purchases have been drifting away from $$ and more towards Hot Toys. I still think $$ has a great company if they would just get their s*** together and stop cheapskating on things and provide better quality products that meet the high demands of their customers. Think of it more like yelling at your alcoholic spouse out of love.
